Whether the masses want to admit it or not. The following will be available round two and after. I think these guys will get a long hard look. 1) EJ Manuel 2) Logan Thomas 3) Landry Jones 4) Zac Dysert.

I think the best fit is Dysert. I think the most likely to end up a Cowboy is Landry Jones. Discuss.

We have QB1 and QB2 locked up long-term.

QB3 in round 2 or 3? Nope. Waste of a draft pick for next year when we need to win games.

I love Geno Smith and think he can do what RG3 does on the NFL level but QB isn't a Cowboys need.

They have an open spot for a 3rd QB and can attract FA and UDFA to compete for that spot in Camp.

I have seen the promised land and Romo is not leading us there, not next year, not the year after. Time to look to the future.

waste of bandwidth to even discuss.
Romo and Orton will be back and we won't draft a QB high.
i could care less about personal opinions of romo, just about what the team may actually do.

The dumbest thing this team could do is to take a QB in round one.

I don't care what QB you put behind this line, they are going to fail.

Out of those options in the mid Rounds I'm going with Manuel. He's improved every year at FSU which shows that he takes well to coaching and he has some intriguing physical tools. Let him sit and watch behind Romo/Orton while he continues to develop. By all accounts he's a great kid that Jimbo Fisher raves about and is loved by his teammates.

If we spend a mid rounder on a QB this year, I'll roll the dice on EJ. The combination of physical ability, work ethic, and charisma makes me like his chances of becoming a player at the next level.

Thomas and Manuel are the worst of the bunch. They have the looks but not the skills. Manuel is not as bad as Logan Thomas but not much better either.

They flash a good game here and there, they show some size and some tools but they just have never been able to do more than flashes and IMO are a complete waste of time.

I would rather take a guy from a smaller school that had nowhere near the talent around him yet still put up numbers and won and give that guy a chance.

If they wasted a draft pick on either of them I would not be happy.

I see a bunch of backups and busts. For UDFA's, I might take a flyer on...

Matt Brown, Illinois St
Nick Florence, Baylor

If Tyler Wilson, Arkansas was somehow still around in the 3rd, I think that'd be good value as long as we already picked up an OL and DL or FS.

So yours and the FO opinion is to prop up a guy who will never get it done? You wonder why this team hasnt done anything in almost two decades.

I wouldn't mind taking Landry Jones in the 3rd, but he might not make it that far.

Has prototype size
Good arm strength
Tons of experience
High completion pct
Had career best QB rating in 2012 at 146.5
3-0 in bowl games so far...

Good prospect to groom IMO.

Not a good QB draft this year, so I say pass on all QBs in the first 4 rounds. We have Romo and Orton. We are in a time where we need players that can play for us now. A #3 QB will not help us now and we could use a DL, OL, LB, DB, and RB alot more. If a QB and any other position are rated close to the same, I skip the QB this year.

I do not want Logan Thomas or Landry Jones. Thomas has look awful this year. I mean really bad. Sure he's a big, strong guy, but the production is lacking and his decision making leaves a lot to be desired.

Landry Jones is to OU as Tony Romo is to us. Puts up pretty good numbers most of the time, but when the pressure is on, he folds like fresh dryer laundry. He's just good enough to not justify a change.
