Offseason need; Safety

Dallas resigned Barry Church but that contract is nothing but a one year shot. Dallas could release him after next year without much of a hit.
Also Sensabaugh has only a couple of years left before his contract gets to big money and will be relaased.

Free Agency:
Jarius Byrd(Buffalo has said they will franchise him if they cannot resign him)
Dashon Golston(will cost an arm and a leg)

I'm not high on McDonald.
I really like Shawn Williams and Vcarro.
Reid isn't great vs the run
Elam just tries to knock you down besides tackling
I also really like Tony Jefferson
Phillip Thomas is a ball hawk

How do you feel about Rambo out of Georgia. I like him as a cover safety maybe 3rd or 4th rd

I like him but I think his red flags will keep Garrett away. He is a ball hawk zone safety and can make plays. I like him in the 3rd-4th round, just don't know if Garrett will want him.

But we need to draft someone who can cover. Hopefully Church can come back healthy.

Please no more McCray, Peprah, Frampton back there. McCray and Frampton need to stick to the special teams.

Eric Reid may well be the guy. He covers a lot of ground and is the perfect hybrid safety. He can cover and can really hit. Does bite at time son fakes and misdirection.

Not my favorite choice at 18 but one that may well be coming.

My choice is Tony Jefferson. I like him a lot. I need to find some film and compare him and Vaccarro against RGIII last year and Gino Smith this year. Anyone have this film available?

I can't tell you much about these guys, but Vacarro, along with Alex Okafor were the lone bright spots on the Longhorns defense... Kenny Vacarro unleashes on the opponent & brings the ball carrier down with force, while also being able to cover plenty of ground in the passing game.. He is a playmaker & at 18, I am not so sure you are going to get that beast of a player that is needed at DE & NT that can contribute right away.. I think this kid is ready to be thrown in the fire, and it would be nice to have the defensive backfield established for the next 3-4 years with MO-Carr-Vacarro-Church.. I definitely wouldn't mind going this route, even though I am sure most find the o-line,d-line more important at the moment

This is my mindset as well. Lots of oline gonna be there in the second.

I would be furious if Jerry picks Reid. Reid cannot cover and he is an average tackler.

Why I say this? Because I live in Baton Rouge and went to the games.

I would select an OLB, DE, DT, G, or C with the first pick. Rambo can be picked in the third round and he is a ball hawk.
