Offseason Plan to get to SB

I think we are only 3-4 moves away form being legit Superbowl contenders. I'm confident in our coaching and offence. We just need to patch up the D. Here is what I would be to get over the hump:
  1. Sign MLB to play along side Overshown. Target Devin Llyod. Fall back plan is Dean or Chenal.
  2. Sign OLB to play opposite EVE: Target Phillips. Fall back plan is Hendrickson.
  3. Trade for Minka Fitzpatrick. He shouldn't cost more than a late rounder and will provide leadership. Fall back plan is sign Blankenship to help install the defense.
  4. Draft Thieneman and Colton Cook in the draft. This is assuming that Styles, Downs, Delane, and top 3 pass rushers are taken. If we feel one of these guys will fall then we simply adjust our FA target accordingly.
  5. Work on long term contracts for Pickens, Aubrey, Clark.
  6. Draft RB, LB, O-line depth
Starting defense look like this:
  • D-line: Osa, Clark, Willams
  • OLBs: EZE, Overshown, Lloyd, Phillips
  • CBs: Bland, Cook, Revel,
  • SAF: Minkah, Thieneman
These moved would eliminate any weakness on D and put us in contention for a Super Bowl.

This would put us in contention, and I know you meant Colton Hood. This is exactly the type of thing that needs to happen to make a SB run.

Bingo. Any other talk is pie in the sky. We just need to load up on good players anywhere we can get them. We are woefully bad on defense and offense get us a guy at te. Andrews or Likely would be nice additions. Ferguson coupled with another dude would be great.
 
We don't need to just add players, there's players we need to let go that would help us win!!

Colton Hood and Thieneman are reaches at 20. To spend 12 and 20 on those two seems crazy,

i told you guys, some fans will NOT want to see our mediocrity leave us. They probably never saw the glory days and dont care for it. Mediocrity is to much fun.

lol. Thanks for the effort but my gosh this is terrible.

Dean is an injury waiting to happen, Phillips is a concussion away from never playing again, Lloyd isn’t really that great either.

Sorry man good attempt but if that’s FA we’re in trouble.

I think it was N. Harris that said he’d take Thieneman at 12 if the board was wiped out. I don’t think he gets to 20. I think he’s more highly regarded than you are giving him credit for.

Phillips been a concussion away for like 8 years now - dating back to his college days. So I don’t him that knock on him is all that valid anymore

Dallas is already in trouble. I doubt fa is as good as what he picked tbh.
 
I wish we had a rule on this board that any rosterbating needs to have cap ramifications appended to it.

Per Spotrac market value (which is probably low):

Devin Lloyd: 20+M
Jaelan Phillips: 17+M; Hendrickson would be 25+M
Minka Fitzpatrick 2026 cap hit: 18.8M

We will probably be able to create (or realistically want to create) 45M in cap space before FA. Once you tender Bass and Aubrey and pay your draft class you are already close to using 20M of the 45M.

So this will never happen. To the posters who are saying it's not enough...what offseason fantasy world do you live in?

I’ll be honest.

No one in FA really screams at me yet. If Queen gets released I’d go there.

I’d also get the LT from GB and move Guyton to RT, or to Antarctica.
