FA Signing
Carr - 2yrs 10M
Wilcox - 3yrs 12M
McClain - 2yrs - 6M
McFadden - 2Yrs - 4M
Moore - 2yrs - 1.5M
Cooper - ?? Vet min? Idk his value is hard right now.
17' total cap= 14.75M

Rookie Pool= 5.5M
Space needed during the year= 3M

17' cap space needed = 23.25M

Cuts, trades & restructures

Cuts: Whitehead, Wilbur, Morris, Free, Witten

June 1st cut: T. Crawford

Trade: Romo

Restructures: Smith, Frederick

Available cap space= 29.25M

1st) Hassan Reddick - LB/Edge Temple
This pick is hard for my because I really like Damien Wilson but Reddick is just too good. He can cover like a S tackle like a LB & rush like a RDE. Only reason I even think he makes it this far is because he is sort've a tweener & comes from a small school.
2nd) Desmond King -CB Iowa
King is my favorite player in this entire draft I love his tape, he's a bit slow & has shprter than ideal arms but IDC I want him on my team
3rd) Ethan Pocic -OL LSU
This is one versatile dude he has the size and experience to play OT/G & C. Could legitimately be our swing at nearly every position on the OLine
3rd) Daeshon Hall Texas A&M
I really like watching Daeshon Hall he seems to have solid bend & a few good pass rush moves but I worry how much he may or may not have benefitted from Garrett being on the other side.
4th) Josh Reynolds - WR Texas A&M
6'3" 200lb reciever. Sounds like a WR2 with a star on his helmet to me. Good speed good hands, not a body catcher. I'm not overly concerned with WR2 due other options in Zeke, Dez & Beasley. Also think the 12 personel will make a return featuring Swaim & Gathers.
5th) Marquez White - CB FSU
This draft is too deep at DB not to double dip. This is great value in the 5th for white, he would probably be a 3rd round pick in most drafts.
6th) Devine Redding - RB Indiana
Indiana is pumping out well rounded running backs like its their damn job rob now. Gimme one
7th) Nate Gerry - S Nebraska
This dude looks like Heath on steroids but plays very similar to what I see from Church IMO
7th) Fred Ross - WR Mississippi st.
**** it, Its Daks boy.

The extra 3rd & 5th isnt based on anything in particular, I just feel like we may end up with extra picks one way or another via trade back in the first or trading Romo.

You cut Witten, but didn't draft or sign a FA replacement?

Hall may be what you say I dont know. I was hoping for more rush then I envision from Hall.
All I saw about Reddick was the senior work outs and he is really impressive. If JSmith returns healthy the LB position isnt a weakness.
I'd like more defense but I cant gripe about the players you selected plus the Cowboys always do stuff that we say,What!
Nice job

Bold move cutting Witten. I also want to give Crawford one more year. Mainly because I don't want that much dead money next year.

If Witten was cut I would prefer pick 28 end up being Njoku. I like other receiver options better than Reynolds even in the 4th. I was not aware Pocic could play all positions on the line. If that is true, I like the pick a lot.

Definitely thinking outside the box and I might be the only person that would agree with you on cutting Witten but he would have to be replaced.

The way the offense was run last year I dont think we absolutely need an all world 1st round TE like before. Cole is kind of the safety blanket role that Wit has filled for so many years. My thought is we will run a 12 personel package with Swaim & Gathers. Both are good blockers & can catch. Personally if Swaim can continue the Growth from what I saw last year & Gathers can be even half of what his ceil could be that would be a pretty nasty TE package to me. My hope is Hanna comes back as well. If Hanna cant play I would look to signing a mid level vet & drafting another young TE in the 4-7th round range.

cut witten and free with no replacements? no added passrush and thinking mcclain is going to sign for 3mil a yr? desmond king isnt going to be a cb. He already switched to s this past yr in college. This is all over the place creating more holes then dallas began with.

You are going to be severely dissapointed if you think Dallas is going to spend a bunch of money to get a pass rusher & King never played Safety at Iowa, however he did say at the Senior Bowl he was willig to transition to the position in the NFL. Also, I dis replace Wit... With Gathers. Free, I drafted Pocic who can play C/G & OT & has played all three in college. At 6'6 he could easily fit in at RT. So with Pocic, Green, Collins & cooper we have more than enough options for the RT & LG positions. Your criticism is heavily flawed sir. I respect yu dissagreeing with me but you are coming at me with things that are simply not fact.

I was with you till i got to cut Witten and then i stopped reading. Then i said to myself lets give his plan a chance so i started reading again thinking that maybe u have us trading up in the 1st for OJ Howard or David Njoku to then find out that u didn't even draft a player TE at all. This draft may actually take us more backwards then forward.

4 mil a year for wilcox. :lmao: Hellllsssss no.

Plus not a good thing to go Into the season with mayowa as our best de.

Agreed, but like the Reddick, King and Gerry picks. But a legit pass rush threat not addressed.

Sandejo from Vikings makes 4M a year & the next lowest contract for a safety below him is Chris Conte who makes 3M a year & that guy is just horrible. Absolute lowest I could see Wilcox for is 3.5 but I think he will probably land about 4, looking at other Safey contracts in the league Church will probably land 6.5 & with him being 29 i'm not signing him to a multi year contract at that price tag.

What free agent DE are you signing & for how much? I left about 5.5M on the table in available cap so more moves could be made I just dont personally like the FA class & dont want to pay another DE because I want another name on the depth chart.
