I have a feeling this Earl Thomas talk is legit. I only hope he really does want to play here because it would discourage another team from trading for him if he would refuse to sign an extension. It would give us strong bargaining power. No team is going to want to give up a premium pick for a one year rental and if Seattle has already signed a bunch of safeties and clearly are trying to clear some big contracts so they would likely rather get a lower pick than they are asking than nothing at all.

So that would be the major Trade I hope happens. 3rd and 4th rd pick to Seattle. The equivalent of a 2nd.

Earl Thomas welcome to Dallas with a 4 year extension giving us a total of 5 years.

Still have 8 picks.

1st - Trade back recouping a 3rd. Hernandez OG - He wants to play here and he is a day 1 starter at a position of need. He is nasty too. I like him quite a bit and I can just see him and Tron creating some huge running lanes over there on the left side for Zeke.

2nd - Package the 2nd, 3rd and one of the 5th's to move up and grab Rashaan Evans LB

4th - grab a WR with speed DJ Chark, Cain, Coutee etc.

Still have the other 5th, 2 6's and the 7th to get a swing tackle, another LB, a change of pace back, and a developmental DT.

I would rather see us add some quality than some scrubs with a small chance of working out.

Add an All pro safety to round out the secondary, a nasty Guard to solidify the O-line, A stud LB, and a WR with some speed to what we have and we just might be getting somewhere.

For the change of pace back I think the RB Lindsay could be a dangerous weapon.

This is my current line of thinking.

Pretty cool piece of thinking...I can add wrinkles but pretty much agree with the gist of it.
