What direction do you all think this team is going to go? Unfortunately I feel like they are going to overdraft a WR or TE and again ignore beefing up this defense which is on the cusp of being a really elite unit. Which would be shameful and more of same nonsense. If I had the choice I would be adding playmakers to this defense. And if that means trading picks to move up spots and only draft 4-5 players. Good. I am sick of drafting 2 good players and then 8 players who may or may not even make the team. Quality over quantity.

If Hopkins does become available or Michael Thomas is released. Then I absolutely try and bring in one.

It's great to imagine isn't it? After the last 3 decades of failure, do you really think there is a plan? Jerry sounds like he already has one foot in the grave, and the yacht was refueled after Dak's 2nd INT. The plan will be as always to draft a question mark in the 2nd round, be short at important positions....then a month before training camp starts find the guys off the streets to plug said positions. There ya have it, thank me later

We have a lot of free agents comin up, id like to keep this defense together but with Cap boy in charge im pretty scared.
Like to get another WR/DT early, QB/C next and then FA try to get a LBer. Im kinda iffy on getting a CB cause with brown and lewis back (if brown is signed back) we may be decently ok there and Bland will get better over offseason. I think we can roll with McKeon/Fergy/Hendershot for TE and let schultz go.
RB i dunno, were prob getting zeke back cheaply, Pollard maybe tag or big deal, but unless our run blocking gets better it doesnt matter.

But im willing to bet we let most of these guys go, create unnecessary holes for the draft, overpay underperforming people, and live the torture again next season.

Do everything in your power to obtain House of Payne. Build the offensive line around your bookends Steele and Tyler. Cut Zeke. Draft the best player on the board no matter what positional needs we may have. Finally don’t be afraid to make a franchise changing trade.

Zeke is taking a MASSIVE paycut or hes gone. I would re-sign Hilton, LVE, Brown, Hankins, Goodwin. Thats pretty much it. Most of the guys I want to dump are UFA's anyways

I’m more or less agree with your draft. I don’t think they go out and pick high dollar free agents. Just not their management theory. Nothing to do with disagreeing with you however

Im resigning Hankins, Shultz. Zeke is gone. Hilton I wait and see on, no need to rush. LVE I want an upgrade as a prime position in the draft or FA. Im getting out of the Gallup contract if at all possible and Im making WR a priority as well as RB in the draft. Pollard I resign if its reasonable.

Give it until a week after the SB, if not before the Jerry propaganda train to get rolling. It may have already started. I have not listened to any of his crap yet. Other than tweets I seen on here.

I sold my PSL's right before the 2016 season, and NEVER regretted it for a second.

I will still eventually go through and give my thoughts on what needs to happen, but realistic though also. As we know Dak is not going anywhere, and neither is Moore, unless he suckers a team to make him a HC.
There is still a good core and base group go players, as you don't go consecutive years at 12-5. Just need to figure out the next step of improvements.
But can / will they.

with all due respect, let’s not ignore what we saw with our own eyes. This defense which you say should be a priority over the offense just let up 113 yards rushing and 199 yards passing and only 19 points

this is an elite performance when we consider that the Niners have 4 top players in YAC and that they average over 30 points per game.

BUT, our “offense“ scored 1 whole TD the ENTIRE game…….yeah, let’s work on improving the “offense” first.

The biggest problem with the offense isnt going anywhere. Which is why I am saying lets beef up the defense even more. Maybe if we only allow 7 PPG Dak can win a divisional playoff game...

What do I think they do? They let Quinn walk and keep Moore and McCarthy because Quinn isn't a Jerry bud. Have another historically bad year like when Mike Nolan was here. We probably draft an RB high because Zeke is done... Pollard is a question mark and is another potential Gallup.

I think we go bargain bin shopping in free agency again and put immense pressure on Dak to win every game with his arm, which he has proven he can't do when the defense he's playing is tough.

We get to keep riding the Moore and McCarthy train until the team is so bad Jerry has no choice but to fire them. We've seen this story over and over. Jerry and Stephen still play GM, they are frugal in free agency and they hire a lot of coaches that are jerry and Stephen friendly and soft on the players, hence undisciplined, nonsensical mistakes being amde when it matters.

Come on its Jerry we are talking about.. After a disappointing year Jerry will want to make a splash in the draft so look for a RB or WR in the 1st round even if he has to trade up to get him.
Hopefully Zeke, Pollard and Schultz walks.
Moore and Big Mac will be here, not sure about Quinn. I guess it depends if he really wants to be a head coach again....if I had to choose I say he stays with Dallas as long as JJ opens his wallet.

I make every effort to re-sign LVE, Hankins and Pollard. Zeke takes at least a 50% pay cut or I release him (if released, aim to replace with a late round back along with our current young RBs). I think McGovern is a FA, so I resign him.

I let Shutz walk.

In FA, i would target DL (1 Tech). And a mid range WR to go along with CD and Gallup and hopefully Tolbert gets it together.

In the Draft I go DL and CB in the first 2 rounds. Round 3 Target QB and LB. round 4, whatever you didn't get in rd 3. After that, more OL and DL/RB if Zeke is released..
