IMHO the FA pick ups won't happen but the additions would be nice,
The draft is fine with me the trade up cost is high. The trade with Denver might be realistic.
This is a good draft to accumulate extra picks

You said this is how you think it will go so I have to say it. They aren't signing any of those guys. Let alone 3.

I would rather keep both 3rds and draft players with them that can contribute. For a team that doesn't add much in FA, trading away picks is roster suicide. Especially a top 100 pick. This draft is incredibly deep on defense and the Cowboys are going to need every pick they can get.

I'm curious as to why y'all don't think these FA pick ups are possible?

Also, I'd love to see your Off-season course that you would like to see us take. By using mine as a template to work off of.

The thing is, we're not adding other teams FAs because we haven't been doing that/they said a few days ago we aren't. So basically, instead of Hankins you can put McClain back here. Instead of Pryor add Williams or Butler. And as far Perry I think a rookie will take that spot.

Multiple reason. Well 1st we can start off with Stephen Jones saying we wont be big players in free agency and he runs the show now.

2nd With the other top edge rushers either being signed or tagged, Nick Perry becomes the top DE/ 3-4 OLB left on the market. Their are teams with 60,70, even 100+ mil of cap space. He is going to be completely overpaid and we have already shown that we will stop the pursuit of players once we reach the limit we set.

3rd Hankins is a big oh run stuffing 1tech. Marinelli doesn't like big oh run stuffing 1techs. Marinelli likes his DT's to be quick twitch and disruptive. Highly unlikely we will pay the big price tag for Hankins.

Pryor is a possibility but the Browns may throw a big contract his way. Its already been reported that keeping Pryor is one of the top priorities for the Browns this off season. And just so you know the Browns are the team with 100+ mil in cap space.

You also can't forget that money is a big factor but theirs also the factor that player may not want to play for that team anymore(Browns).
Also these FA's aren't the top of the line, they are on the edge of being in the middle pack.
I feel that our running defense was overflated because of the fact teams could pass at will on us, so an extra DT that can actually get a push is needed...

We usually add a couple middle tier FA's and that's what this is, it's not us going out their and signing the top of the line guys that's available.

So your telling me that they are not going to sign 3 or more free agents of any kind this offseason?

They are top of the line in this FA class. I would love Hankins, for a big guy he can rush the passer. He will get a huge deal somewhere. Word is Pryor is a headache, the talent is there but I dont see them going after him. Id rather have a pro like Garcon for a couple years while we develope WR's. I think we take one somewhere in the first 4 rounds. If your drafting Takk, Id rather get an old guard vet along the Ware/Peppers/Long line. All would be effective situational rushers that wont cost too much and eat up snaps. You pay Perry to be a 3 down guy, and with him and Lawrence you have a hard time getting Takk on the field. And older guy rotates with Takk, and a guy like Ware who has/had a similar athletic makeup can go a long way towards develping Takk. Ware has always been a good teammate. He went along way towards helping Smith become an elite LT

I absolutely love your draft. Takk and Jackson would be a major haul.

We will add players, but I dont think you will see any long term money added. They got linked to Garcon before. His would be a deal they can get out of in a year or two. Peterson, same thing. You can get out of a contract in a year. Additions along those lines are the "splashes" the Cowboys would make if they make any.

Nick Perry is the best edge rusher to make it to free agency and Hankins arguably the top DT to make to free agency as well. I dont care if Perry is not on the level of Kalil Mack or Von Miller. He is the best edge rusher to make to free agency. Multiple teams have a ton of money that they need to spend and they will be looking his way. Same goes for Hankins. Many of us would love Hankins but is not going to be cheap. hes gonna command what Damon Harrison at the least ( which is not cheap) and he does not fit what Marinelli wants at DT so that kill the dream before it can even start.

A lot of good stuff here, minus a few re-signings. I doubt we pony up the money for those free agent signings, but I like the mentality.

You named 2 expensive FAs and a mid tier. That's a lot different than any 3 FAs.

Okay, taking all of you guys insight into factor and we swap nick Perry with Demarcus Ware at the End spot. Then I think we A have pretty good off-season, swapping them also saves us a ton of cap space and gives the opportunity for Takk to learn from Demarcus...

I love it!

Side note: I really did not/still don't think Hankins will command that much money on a new contract. His level of play isn't on the level of snacks Harrison...
