With the Cowboys sitting in the draft with two first round.
I have an idea of who could help Cowboys immediately.

Free Agents

1. Albert Haynesworth, NT
2. Let Go Fergi to Dolphins for some compensation.
3. Sign Joey Thomas
4. (Wishful thinking?Maybe) Try to get Pac Man Jones in our secondary for a one year deal with a two year option.

NFL Draft (3 DRAFT CHOICES)

1a. Kenny Phillips, SS/Felix Jones, RB
1b. Jack Ikegwuonu, CB/ Aquib Talib, CB
2. Chris Johnson, RB/James Hardy, WR
3. Jerome Felton, FB

What exactly is PacMan's status with the league? Is he suspended temporarily or indefinitely?

He was suspended for the year, bur he must apply for re-instatement with the NFL. For example, Odell Thurman LB from the Bengals was suspended a couple years ago and when he applied to get back in it was denied because of his poor conduct and lack of complying with the program set up for him while he was suspended.

Not sure what the verdict will be with Adam Jones. I do know that he was allowed to go back to the Titans facility and work out and stuff as of last week. Most of his teamates still like him and want him back according to an article in the local Nashville paper.

Jones is exactly what the Cowboys need on the field pretty good, improving corner and excellent return skills.

That being said Pacman in Dallas with the quality of strip clubs in that town! Maybe Deion will adopt him and make him stay home and he can only go out and eat at Randy White's BB-Q in Frisco and they move The Lodge and Baby Dolls across the street from Valley Ranch and Nate Newton personally puts him in the cab with Calvin Hill reading him the Bible all the way home every night back to Deion's... nah he'd probably still get in trouble!:D

Have we gone from 13-3 to ... straight cellar-dwellar desperate??

What is all this talk with Pacman?? I can't even believe his name is being brought up.

Even if he were Deion Sanders Part Two, I wouldn't want him on this team.

Yes, JJ made a reach for Tank, but that doesn't mean to go get everyone with issues!!

Of all players with issues though, it seems like Pacman is the most clueless and you want him to be part of the Boys?!

Amazing was a loss will cause in the minds of some people.

I will say it again, our blueprint for success is not lengthy.

Draft or sign a CB, RB, OL, and WR.

Get rid of some of the weak parts of our defense

And that's it... Lets stop with this Pacman talk who would be a true cancer in the lockerroom (I can imagine now... everyone is invited to this strip club where I am going to make it rain part two!)

Jerry Jones is, "Fighting Father Dunn." Go rent it, it's a classic. I wouldn't be surprised if Jerry's not thinking about it;)

Why not? He's a large part of what the Cowboys need. He can be signed on for a rookie salary, and if he messes up, the strings can be cut. I think it'd be stupid to pass him up. He has "made it rain" in the strip clubs so many times I'm sure he'll be hard up for money... Even if it's the league minimum.

Really? Even if he came cheap?

I think he would definitely be worth the risk.

Here's essentially the problem with signing Adam Jones. You get a guy with enormous talent at cornerback. IF he doesn't get into trouble with the law (again) and plays the entire season, you come out of the signing smelling like a rose. IF he does get into trouble with the law and sits during a critical stage of the season (i.e. like the playoffs), you're screwed.

It's one thing for a superstar to get injured and have to miss games. That's an enormous blow to any team, but that's life in the NFL and always has been. It's another thing entirely when you lose a superstar due to totally unnecessary personal foolishness created by the player himself. That's the problem in a nutshell with signing an Adam Jones to your roster.

According to the local Dallas media, we were pretty much cellar dwellars last year.

What is all this talk with Pacman?? I can't even believe his name is being brought up.

If they can get him for a Tank Johnson type of deal, then he's worth the risk. If he screws up, you cut him with no real cap ramifications.

Even if he were Deion Sanders Part Two, I wouldn't want him on this team.

If he was Deion Sanders II, Dallas goes to the Super Bowl. Good luck trying to throw on Newman and Deion Sanders II. Especially with Dallas' pass rush.

Yes, JJ made a reach for Tank, but that doesn't mean to go get everyone with issues!!

Tank's not a reach. He signed for basically the league minimum. He's definitely shown that he's got the talent to play, if he screws up off the field, he'll be gone and Dallas won't get hurt in the cap.

Yes, and he would be gone and if they sign him to a Tank type of deal, Dallas wouldn't even feel it.

As long as Dallas does that, not only would it be a no-brainer to pick him up, I think it gives him his best chance to clean up his act (since now he would know that he's on his very last legs of playing in the NFL).

I like PacMan the player...but PacMan the person is scum. I do not want scum on this team. I want players that we can be proud to call Cowboys. I want players that kids can look up to as heros. I want players that parents can be comfortable with their kids looking up to.

It is obvious we need CB help. But we don't need to sell our soul to the Devil to get it. I want to get rid of Reeves and Jones. I say we sign a FA. I like either Randall Gay or Hank Poteat. IMO, Samuel, Trufant, and that guy from Oakland will be way too pricy. Then I would like to get 2 CBs in the draft (Round 1 and Round 3/4).

I think it would be awesome to get both South Florida CBs......Mike Jenkins and Trae Williams. However, Mike Jenkins will most likely be the 1st CB drafted. That means we will most likely end up with Leodis McKelvin. However, I would like us to take a strong look at Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie.

Gay/Poteat
Jenkins/McKelvin/Cromartie
Williams

I think this would definitely upgrade our secondary.

Really?

No thanks to both, Hayesworth and Jones.

I'd rather lose than have those criminals on the team.

Ya know, Owens was just a pain in the butt when the Cowboys signed him. These two guys are an entirely different story.

1b. Jack Ikegwuonu, CB/ Aquib Talib, CB
2. Chris Johnson, RB/James Hardy, WR
3. Jerome Felton, FB

If we drafted Ikegwuonu in the first round Id be pretty upset, hes got good potential and I deffinately heard his name a lot this year while watching Wisconsin I think he would fall into the 2nd round unless hes has a great combine. I like Cason, McKelvin and Talib and Im hoping one will be there at 22 for us to go after! RB is deep this year and I deffinately thiink we could get somone solid at 29. In 06 4 Rb and 3CB were taken in the first round last year 2 RB and 2 CB. So hopefully in a year with so many OT, LB ,DE there will be 2 good players for us to get in the first round. I feel WE MUST keep both of those picks though.

I think Haynesworth is your classic "contract year" player. I dont know how he would fit in at NT and I dont know how much Gurode would appreciate lining up everyday in practice to the same man that lacerated his forehead with cleats. He did have one hell of a year this year, Ill give him that.

PacMan Jones....at first I hated the idea, then I read some of you all posts about him being cheap and talented, it would be a nice secondary but I see it like this. PacMan and TO can both volunteer at a church and donate a game check and some how would get negative publicity. I dont know if it affects the play on the field, but I know it makes me shake my head whenever they bring up Pacman footage or pictures on NFLN or ESPN and I would hate it if there was a little star icon instead of a Titan one by it, talking negatively EVERYDAY.

Who was even referring to the cap. I was talking about the fact that we already have a very young and impressionable team. We don't need any leaders that go the wrong way in leading.

On the field? When would he actually be there with his knack for causing trouble and getting suspended which causes the team undue stress.

Not to mention, all his actions would definitely affect the current coaching staff and management in place. Who would respect a coach who allows a player of his ignorance on their team just because he can ball? Makes any other player think they can do what they want or just not respect them as a whole.

You say, no biggie, just cut him. So then... what player did you cut in camp that could have been on the team helping in order to save a roster spot for a hoodlum like Pacman?

There have been many many talented players in the league before that hurt their teams more then helped with them on the field. This would be one of those cases. The point is this is a team, not a bunch of players on the field together. Without one goal in place as a team, you won't be successful.

If you can't be a professional off the field, then we don't need him on the Boys.

Next...

(reference my basketball team the San Antonio Spurs)

Bang on the money, for me.

Owens can be childish and disruptive but he is on the right side of the law!

A lot of reports were that Tank was mostly a decent citizen... but Pacman's reputation has always been that he is an a$$hole!

Same goes for Haynesworth. With Phillips 'lets us act like men' philosophy ......... I'd steer clear!
