NATCHITOCHES -- Northwestern State senior offensive guard Michael Booker was named to the Associated Press All-America Team for the NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision on Wednesday, giving the Demons their second All-America offensive lineman in four seasons.
Booker, a 6-foot-3, 314-pounder from Paris, Texas and North Lamar High School, was a second-team selection on the AP All-America squad announced Wednesday. Buffalo Bills starting left tackle Demetrius Bell was an AP All-America first team selection as a senior in 2007.

Booker was a Preseason All-America choice of Consensus Draft Services and made first-team All-Southland Conference honors as voted by the league's eight head coaches and eight sports information directors. One NFL Draft service has him ranked No. 42 among guards eligible for the 2011 draft.

Booker, a three-year starter after transferring before his sophomore season from Oklahoma State, led the Demons with 66 knockdown blocks and had three games with grades over 90 percent as a senior. He was NSU's top offensive lineman in each of his three years in the program while playing under offensive line coach Jeremy Offutt.
