Oglesby becomes the 5th CB, he knows the system, and can play ST.

Anthony Smith - is a better safety than both Watkins and M. Hamilin (who is out 4-5 games).

Pashos - can play RT/G - cut both Proctor/McQuistin - this free's up about 2 million. Stephen can manipulate the cap to fit these guys onto the roster plus get Ware signed.

Improves Secondary/OL, two area's we are hurting at right now.

1 problem... EGO! the same egos that paid Brad Johnson for 2 years... the same ego that paid TO and ROY instead of Ware last year... if it wasnt for an undrafted rookie, Stanback would still be on the roster...

You cant let it bug you, let the bad decisions the Cowboys make run its course... 2 or 3 years is about average time to get rid of a mistake in Dallas.

Pashos wouldn't take a pay cut from Jacksonville, so I doubt he would free up any cap room.

Unfortunately, you're almost certainly right... I have two options, though-- Damion McIntosh or Anthony Davis... both have started in the NFL, and both seem to be Hudson Houck-style blockers...

Bernard Pollard any good?

I wanted Anthony Smith over Pat Watkins, but can't say I've really paid attention to his play since then.

I'm all for Oglesby unless he's had a major decline over the past year. It seemed like a mistake to let him go last year. I'm also for getting a decent backup OL. There HAS to be a player or two better than some of the crap we kept on the OL. Even if we have to overpay, it's worth it since we seem to have little to no depth on the OL.

I thought we were keeping him over Ball. I believe we will sign him since he is familiar with the system and does play ST.

We definitely need to find replacements for Proctor and McQ.

I guess I'm one of the few who never got all the Oglesby love... Seems like lots of people gave him extra credit just for being a Raven. Or because Deion pimped him. Or something.

Seems to me that we could use a safety or ILB more than another corner. Where would EO play? I'd rather have Ball on the field than him.

I think Ball could play some Safety as well - or the "Star" position.

Ball does have some versatility, and maybe that's why we go the route of a CB.

Ball plays both. The problem is who would be the fourth corner in extra packages if someone gets hurt? I know we have similar problems with ILB but the extra cb is probably the more important position. Especially if Octavien can play some inside.

Oglesby is at least on par with Ball as a cb and he knows the system already. His contract also wouldn't be guaranteed like some of the vet options.
