Ogletree to IR

Honestly, Sam Hurd can fill that role just fine. It's not like Ogletree brought a lot to the table this season.

I like Hurd better anyway. Ogletree was the better pure athlete, but Hurd is a more dependable receiver.

not the worst thing, hopefully he makes a full recovery. Glad to see Manny Johnson get a shot.

Now who will we get to be awful at returning kickoffs to the 8-yard line?

i'll do it for a sawbuck. : )

Ogletree's one of those guys that I'm trying to reserve judgment on until after they've been through a post-Wade offseason and training camp. The others are Jenkins, Bennett and maybe even Ball. Scandrick too, though he's already coming around. They just look like guys who didn't come into the season as prepared as they should have been - not enough reps, not enough attention to detail. It probably delayed Lee as well.

felix back to kick return's.....nawwww not after what happen to Dez and Ogletree.....minus well see what we have in manuel johnson he does look like a quick receiver that is well built for the slot....maybe he shows something on special teams and get a couple snaps on offense. Never know

Yes! I was just wondering if Manny might get a chance to replace him. I've always thought he might be a similar player -- a little less talented, but a maybe a little better head on his shoulders.

Very well put. I might even change receiver to simply, player.

I think I'd give Jessie Holley a shot. He seems to excel on special teams.

Ogletree to IR could mean the end to his days in Dallas. He's going to have to really step up in OTA's and training camp next season if he's still around by that point. He's not a standout special teams player so he's going to have to make the team as a receiver. He spent 8 games inactive this season so the odds on him being a Cowboy next season aren't looking too good.

How about Jermey Parnell? He hasn't done a thing since we signed him.

Ogletree needed the reps, though, possibly more than Bryant needed his.
