it was a pretty sweet catch

and even Romo was happy about it, O Tree said that even after Romo called him stupid, he came to him, and told him, "he expects him to make plays like that all the time, but also expects him to run the wrong routes time 2 time too"

it was tough love

O Tree...yes he has been here for a few years, but this was his only truly BIG game starting....I am not ready to give up on him...he has the right mind..he understood Romo meant no harm with his words, and owned up to not attack the ball aggressively for that TD

Austin maybe wont play.....i say O Tree redeems himself vs the lions..if not then i will officially jump on the "get o tree out of here" bandwagon...

i will blame the big game....and the fact it was his first BIG start(because we needed this win)

I think a lot of you people will be saying his name again after sunday

Where are you getting this quote? This doesn't sound right to me

Laurent Robinson should start over Ogletree this week. robinson showed something in this game. Definately enough to get more plays.

We're notorious around here for "get [fill in the blank] out of here" bandwagons whenever they have a poor game.

It's really a good thing we have no influence on the team whatsoever or Romo would be gone after the Jets game; Free would be gone after less than 10 "bad" plays in two games; Newman would have been cut for "being soft," along with Jenkins, who was obviously faking his injuries; Spencer would be out for disappearing last season; Ratliff, too; Bailey was probably cut after missing that first FG against the 49ers; James and Brooking are gone because neither is Sean Lee; Bill Nagy was out after New York ... wait, Derrick Dockery had two false starts against San Fran ... Nagy's back in, Dockery's out; etc.

We can't afford to run Ogletree out of here, even after Miles and Dezz get healthy. We need the depth. He is a disappointment so far though.

It's year three and KO still hasn't bested his rookie year when he could at least run the Bubble Screen to perfection.

I wish he would just concentrate on a few routes and become gold with them. I think slants and outs would be simple enough to master. Trouble is he doesn't read hot routes and adjustments so well, it seems.

I do hope he redeems himself but i'm also ready to start seeing Harris in there for few plays per game so see what he can do.

Sorry, I can't forgive a guy for not knowing the playbook after three years. I mean these are normal plays, nothing fancy, how do you not know where to line up? Hell, I bet the Washington Defense knew where he was supposed to line up more than he did.

He is actually fairly elusive on the bubble screen and made two guys miss last night before a really good tackle from Landry forced the fumble. I am not happy with the result but that occasionally happens.

He made a really good catch late in the game on the ball thrown behind him.

He still seems to have trouble understanding the route adjustments he needs to make. I wonder if some of it is just due to lack of game experience. He has been here 3 years but hasn't really lined up for many snaps on offense because he has always been #4 or 5 on the depth chart. I do wonder if the offense is overly complicated at times because I've also seen Witten, Miles and Dez make these mistakes.

I hope he really starts to click because I actually do think he has quite a bit of ability with his speed, quickness and RAC. Some guys just never do get it and you have to move on but for right now we don't have any better options. Robinson came in and could pick up the system but he also had just been playing with the Chargers in preseason and he has much more game experience than Otree. He is actually in his 5th year in the league.

Yeah, such meanies around here.

I mean all Ogletree did was fumble deep in his own territory, run bad routes, and forget his playbook (after 3 years).

How dare some folks have the nerve to give him a hard time!

For a guy here a little over a week, Robinson look much better prepared on Monday Night than Ogletree did after 3 years here.

I'd have more confidence in Robinson out there against Detroit.

Never said I have a problem with people giving him a hard time.

He should have caught the TD pass. He shouldn't have fumbled (although I give Laron Landry some credit there). He should have known the routes (although we've seen some of the same from our starting receivers ... see: Miles Austin early last week). He did make a big catch on a pass thrown behind him when we needed it.

People don't just give our players "a hard time;" they resort to being ridiculous about it. It gets to the point of being absurd instead of realistic criticism.

If that's the type of overreactionary fan you want to be, so be it. But when people resort to being stupid, I'm going to say it's stupid. And people here resort to being stupid quite a bit. Just look at the list I put in this thread and tell me you have not read threads advocating all those things (maybe not to the point of being out the door, but being replaced in the lineup at least).

I mean, Stephen McGee starting over Romo? Ridiculous.

Get rid of Spencer and start Butler? Hmm ... maybe the coaches have a reason for not doing that.

Same with keeping Ratliff at NT, Free at LT, etc. Maybe the same with Ogletree being the third receiver? Perhaps we should give it some time and see.

or Harris, I'm tired on Ogletree

Ok but when Ogletree breaks out next game....i shouldn't see 15+ posters chanting his name, like they have always believed in him
