Oh man this is funny

It's mainly just ex-players saying why they hate Dallas, which includes not being drafted by them.

It's rather ridiculous.

There are dozens of websites for the same stuff. All very lame and most of them outdated and uneducated.

That's the nature of negative fueled passion.

It seems strange to me that 10 top sports writers could contribute to a book called "Why I hate the Dallas Cowboys", yet people still insist there is no anti-Cowboys sentiment by the sportwriters when they vote for the Hall of Fame or even post-season awards.

You know, I'm tempted to buy 32 copies of that book and send them to the 32 HOF voters.

Actually there are 38 or 39 HOF voters, though I wouldn't send Gosselin one. I shouldn't contribute to their sales.

Spoil my fun BP. I was then going to write the HOF and say they all have that book in their libraries.

I love the way they quote such admirable people, ... Mercury Morris(In 1982, seven years after leaving professional football, Mercury Morris was arrested, tried and convicted on charges of conspiracy and trafficking in cocaine and, as a result thereof, served three and one-half years in prison.), Conrad (I only bit one player) Dobler, & Skippy Nutless.

I think Mercury Morris is reformed however a la Irvin. I could be wrong.

I honestly have tremendous respect and empathy for people who made disastrously poor choices, confess it and take responsibility for it, and then walk in a new direction.

Thats not to say that I don't respect those who never fell (I'm speaking relatively) but rather that I find those folks at times to be somewhat judgmental. We all need to realize that a few circumstances could have drastically altered the direction of our lives in a negative direction - and be thankful. Just my opinion. :)

I agree, it just seemed funny who they chose to quote, and what was going on in their lives at the time they were hating the Cowboys.

In other words, I really am not concerned whether or not those individuals like the Cowboys.

(1) Getting caught, (2) found guilty & sentenced, and then (3) put in prison is a little different than (1) confess it, (2) take responsibility for it, and then (3) walk in a new direction.

Yeah. But again, I think Morris heart was changed in this process. I could be wrong but that is my recollection.

I so respect contrition. Its a rare commodity.

We wouldn't be hated if we weren't great.
Would anyone write such a book about the Eagles, Giants, or Vikings? Nope, everyone is pretty indifferent to them because they are boring and haven't won a whole lot.
