I don't think the scouting team did a lot of research on the guy, because they thought he would be gone by the 5th pick. They graded him as high as Deion Sanders. It might be too soon before it's a bust, however someone is going to be held accountable when he is out of the NFL. Just another recurring problem that has plagued this team for a long time.

For crying out loud. You obviously didn't read much about that draft. Mo was no reach. This team has had very good drafts lately, so to say it is a "recurring problem" is disingenuous.

While I am a little worried by his inability to stay healthy this season, he is suffering for the same reason as Bruce Carter. He is slow to learn a new scheme and, just as he was coming into his own at the end of last season, we switched to a dramatically different style of play--a style he has never played before.

So, while he definitely hasn't lived up to the hype, it is not entirely on him. To continue the comparison, using Mo in off, zone coverage is about as dumb as it would have been to do that with Deion. You're negating all his tools and putting him at a disadvantage. Hence his sudden complete lack of confidence. His regression and/or lack of progression is completely on the staff. When he is allowed to play press man coverage for an extended period of time, it clear as day that the talent is there.

So you consider 2012 a good draft? Dude, take off the homer shades.

How will we ever survive???

Claiborne started as a rookie and looked good.

He has been injured for most of this season. Reviewing his draft report it's not surprising that it would take time for him to learn a new defensive scheme.

There are a very small number of players in each draft that are universally considered the best at their position by all of the draft media. Claiborne was one of those players. Many considered him the best defensive player in that draft.

I guess it depends what your definition of "good" is.

Whatever, just add Mo to the long list of "good" moves Jerry has made that were negated Because he lacks a coherent vision or plan.

Not going to give up Claiborne yet, he was pretty decent for a rookie last season, he's been hurt and had lackluster season thus far. We'll see how he plays after getting healthy.

If I see Scandrick covering some unknown WR on the outside, with 30 something seconds left and Dallas up by a TD. And the other team has no TO's.. I am gonna lose it.

I'm more concerned with Webb being on the field at crunch time. Although my impression is entirely based on anecdotal information from watching games on TV, the few times I've seen him it looked like he had inadvertently wandered onto the field looking for his lost cat.

He isn't a zone coverage CB. I would be tempted to use him as a safety and let him play center field.

He was a reach. Deion was an elite athlete, Peterson was an elite athlete. Mo is no where close.
