Love has a bad leg.
He said he was 95% and wasn’t wearing a brace. He was more hurt against PSU and got more carries. So nah, it wasn’t because he was hurt. And Proce, their other good RB, got three carries only.

NDs OC had a peculiar game plan at times.

Btw, will Ryan Day or Freeman go to the NFL this off-season? Dallas? Would Jerry even make a phone call to find out?
My guess is Freeman has almost zero interest. He has set himself up very nicely in South Bend to be treated like a king, and that school has the funds to make sure he and his roster are taken care of. Hes also young enough that his name wont likely be fading away anytime soon if he did want to eventually make the jump. Day would be an interesting name to watch. After having the majority of the fan base calling for his job after the Michigan loss he could be over the pressure of a high end college job and ready to leave on top. What I'm not as sure of is if the NFL would be as interested in him though. Great results but his best asset may be as a recruiter. Hes winning with probably the best roster in college football and a very strong coordinator duo in Chip Kelly/Jim Knowles. He just seems like a college guy.

Toledo, Ohio Boy Buckeye Fan For Life "BF4L" Will Howard Anybody?

What you Saw Tonight And I've Seen Many This Season Of Will Howard He Can Run And Has The Arm The Likes Of Joshua Allen

You May Want To Take Notice.

Chip Kelly, the Buckeyes' offensive coordinator, a while back spoke out about Howard. He offered a very intriguing comparison to an NFL star quarterback.

That quarterback was none other than Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen.

"He can challenge the defense I talked to DC Jimmy Knowles. When you have somebody who can be a dual threat, that's a really tough thing to defend. We know how fast Will is. It's not like if he runs, it's a 6-yard gain. If he takes off, it could be a 60-yard gain. He's had some really big runs in his career so far. That's just another tool in your toolbox. Will is probably more [of a] Josh Allen It adds a dimension to your offense."

I was thinking this last night, as I often had during the season. He reminds me of Josh Allen.

The Offensive line was not getting much movement to begin with.
and being a ND fan and saw him before his injury, NO he was NOT 95%. Love the kid; makes no excuses; but he was not near what he was uninjured.
Play calling was not great; but RL is a limited passer so that did not help there. RL was someone who got absolutely everything he could with what he had personally. But he was simply not good enough.

I could not figure out why Love was not used more part of the game. Even his back up seemed not to get a lot of carries.
It was almost like ND thought OSU would key on those players and forget about the others.

Greathouse was a difference maker in the 2nd half. But that lead was huge to overcome.

OSU OL did a fantastic job picking up the 7 man blitz on that pass to Smith. Ryan Day and Chip Kelly said. The thought there was if they had one one one with Smith to go there. If they did not have time to go with that play, he was to check it down. Take the small gain if not a first down.
They felt if they ran it, it would only take 3 or 4 seconds off the clock. A pass play would take a bit more time off, even if they then had to punt.

They got what they wanted with that blitz pick up.

OSU left about 20 to 30 seconds on the clock earlier though, by snapping the ball too soon on 2 or 3 different plays. I kept posting about that. Even when there was 6 minutes left, they would leave about 6 to 10 seconds on the play clock.

We know QB like Jayden Daniels - Lamar Jackson is the new norm dual-threat in The NFL quarterback prototypes and maybe
that's what NFL Teams are looking for now in The College Ranks but Man Will Howard is somewhat of a dual-threat but
more a Pocket Passer, but Josh Allen Is making it work in The NFL and Howard I think will have a Success In The NFL.

I think they should have tried to run more; but its hard to fault a coaching staff that got as far as it did with so many injuries and a limited QB.

They made a great run.
Ran into a buzz saw, as did the other 3 teams.

Congrats OSU. Not sure how they lost twice this year. Just goes to prove that the best teams don't always have the shiny records.

Best team money can buy. 20 million in talent added this year. The game has been changed forever.

True. Under the old playoff format, they don't even make it in.

Crazy to think that considering they literally beat 5 teams ranked in the top 8 all of which by at least a touchdown or higher margin.........

Just one of those games. Does it matter now then? Buckeyes still NCAA champs.
Exactly. Not uncommon for a division foe to squeak one past you. Last year's Superbowl champion for example lost to 2 different division opponents that both ended up with 9 losses each for the season !

I think you just mentioned Josh Allen and Will Howard in the same sentence.
Had to blink.
Yep. you did.

Come on now. I like Howard ok, but....come on

It should help that this is such a shallow QB draft. You could be late day 2 or day 3 worthy and taken a lot earlier this year

Granted Will Howard performance Is at The College level may not have the success at The NFL Level but just on commarsion alone Don't take my word for it..I think Chip Kelly Knows More Than You Do.

So don't cut Will Howard Short..His Draft Stock Went Up During The 4 Game Run For The National Championship..With That "Book it" Howard will be a First Round Pick Early Second. GoBucks

if you had wanted to make a comment that that did not deservedly get worked over, you should have said howard had traits that reminded you of Josh Allen.
