I started to not watch, but then did, and it was pretty good.
Had some good HL of him running the ball.
I saw part 1, which was mostly college thru buffalo.

OJ was smart, driven, ambitious, fame seeker, who made the most of his opportunitys.
Found out a lot I didnt know about him.
Great runner and durable, but could not catch the ball.

This first part was good and worth seeing even if you dont like him.

When he signed with Buffalo, his contract was for 5 years, and $600,000 !
Which was a lot for that period, but seems like a joke compared to now, where that is almost min wage now.
He had also asked for a $500,000 loan up front which I thought was interesting.

It's so awesome he's in prison for stealing his own stuff.

actually most if not all of it was stuff oj never owned, it was stuff that fans would have had and sold.
The stuff taken in the robbery, was also non oj like pete rose baseballs, and some joe montana
stuff.
The guy who set it up told oj some of his stuff would be there but it wasnt.
Due to a gun being used, and oj said no one could leave the room, got him charged with
kidnapping, and other felonys .
he got a total of 33 years.
At his age that is life. I doubt he gets paroled any time soon.

He had told his agent, that if he did it, he might not have acted alone, about the 1994 murders.

I watched all 5 , some of it was tedious, but much of it was interesting, and well done for
a documentary.

I thought it was great, 5 episodes flew by, that case and all the issues surrounding it are really fascinating to me.

Its said that this case spawned reality tv. Whether it did or didn't, I don't know but at the very least it gave it a helluva boost

Maybe I missed it, but I would have like to have known more about Ronald Goldman.
I guess because I lived through OJ's career and the trial itself, it wasn't that big a deal to me (the documentary, that is).
I was aware of the whole racial dynamic before, during and after the trial.

yeah Ron sort of gets forgotten in all of it, and I feel more sorry for him than nicole.
If he was really just there to drop off her moms glasses, he had really bad luck.
Wrong place at wrong time.
Hmmm I wonder if her mom feel bad about her glasses putting ron there ?

I only vaguely knew of oj's NFL career, and nothing of before that, and just a little about his life after NFL.
I didnt pay a lot of attention to the trial at the time, I did see a little of it, but not much.

So the show really gave me a lot of info.

And you could say it helped reality tv, I mean reality tv has always been around, just not in prime time.
and OJ's trial wasnt in prime time either.

It did spawn the trashy kardassian's though.

This program was one of the best things that ESPN has ever produced. Very well done. It really gives very good perspective about the rage in the black community in Los Angeles during the time of OJ's rise to prominence at USC, and in the years leading up to the trial. I work in TV, and worked on programs that highlighted the trial day in and day out, so I was very familiar with the court case(s). The documentary still managed to be riveting despite having lived through it.
