Calling it now. We are going TE, DT, & OT in no particular order with our day 1 & 2 picks.

Why wouldn't we go DE again?

I think we will likely be looking for DE again.

Gregory - sounds like this game is just about over.

D-Law - final year of his contract. If he doesn't show rapid improvement we will be looking to replace him.

Moore - He will be given a shot but I doubt we have any idea what we have here.

Irving - I believe this is the last year we get him cheap. If he flashes again but is still inconsistent another team might be willing to pay him more than we are.

Tapper - We are going to find out what we have this year. Maybe.

Mayowa - I think he will still be part of the plan in 2018 but him and Taco are the only likely sure roster spots at DE.

I will assume that Tapper is still here but that is only 3 spots. We might need multiple DE's next year. Best case scenario is we are only looking for one. Let's assume we Keep Irving, Dlaw and Moore. We still need to replace Gregory.

I think they will give Taco and Tapper a chance to take the starting spots. Also is next year's DE class even close to being as deep as this year's was with top 100 talent? Now if we end up with a 3rd round comp pick then I can see them going for a DE they like. That or a QB.

It's not as deep but if we wanted one in round 1 we could probably get a guy. Well see

Irving will be an RFA after 2018

DE is always on the table, you can never have enough rushers.

A Leo type would be great to with Charton. Charlton is a 3 Down RDE in the NFL IMO, but if you add an Leo type player, Taco is a guy that can play LDE in any 4 man alignment we want. I though Atlanta too the wrong guy in Takk to go with Beasley. Takk is going to HAVE to wide at LDE, pretty much 6 to 9 gap only. Taco you could line up anywhere from the 3 to the 9

Forgot T Crawford. Marinelli enjoys playing him on the strong side now that Collins has 3 tech locked down. Already a 4 man rotation to expect for 2018 Season with out any resigning's or FA signings. Unless a DE falls into our laps early, I don't see us really going that way till 4th round maybe 3rd round at earliest.

If Witt walks or Green and Bell struggle all season at RT. Then we will go TE or OT early. Heck a TE and OT maybe our 1st and 2nd round picks.

I don't see the same scenario where 3 DE with 1st round talent will just be sitting their again at the end of the 1st round. This was a rare draft class for both DE and DB. I'm all for it if a DE falls into our laps tho. Don't see it happening again if Witt walks and Green continues to get injured at OT tho.

I doubt we do, but I never discount it. 3 positions practically any team can draft just due to the numbers used are DL, CB and WR. You need numbers at those positions, and those numbers get pricey.

Next year I dont see a CB for obvious reason, DE is always dicey late in the first. I could definitely see them looking at some WR's though

There's about 8 guys who may have a first round grade at DE this year.

I think the Cowboys will just trade all of their 2018 picks for 2019 picks because won't have any players they want to cut to add draft picks. They'll probably go to 3rd string players by the 2nd half of their blow-out Super Bowl win.

their was 10 or 11 DE getting 1st round hype before the season started last year. another 3 or 4 looked at as early day 2 options as well for trade backs. take away a few from those 8 after the season weeds them out. add in a surprise 2 or 3 who shoots up the draft board as trade back options. i just don't think it will as easy as it was this year to walk away with a legit 1st round DE at the end of round. I'm glad the draft was setup the way it was this year. don't even need to worry about the secondary next year. I'm just really not expecting a DE in the 1st next year. However it does look like it could be a deep OL class.

i have that same thinking but im just not expecting it to be as easy to get a DE in the 1st this year. Unless they trade up but that just complicates expectations.

I could go for a Speed WR to replace butler. Doesnt have to be John Ross fast but ill glady take a good WR with 4.3 speed and solid hands late 1st.
