Ok draft guru contract experts, with Vince Young's contract, is that bigger than Mario with Houston. If so, Reggie Bush wants more guaranteed money than Mario with Houston got and now Vince Young.

And a long contract holdout takes effect, between the Saints and Reggie Bush, and it looks like Bush might go back into 2007 draft. With the Saints worried, do they make a trade.

I point to 2 things, one which is gone now, we or the Dallas Cowboys had a chance to get Dwight Smith, granted he might not be safety we need, but we had a chance to get him for decent change. Now with Keith Davis issue, Parcells might let him go. And to add to that, Greg Ellis wants to be traded.

So, my point is this, with the Saints head coach, Peyton, knowing both players, if Bush holds out, could we make a trade with Saints, trading Greg Ellis & Keith Davis to Saints for Reggie Bush, and some kind of lower draft pick now.

Dallas, or almost any other team for that matter, cannot trade for any member of the '06 draft because there's a rookie pool in place and they could not afford to sign him.

Yeah, but couldnt Dallas get that pool that the Saints got for Bush, since or if their is a trade? Wouldnt that work? Or what happens to the pool money that the Saints had for 2nd overall pick?

It's a larger potential contract, but the guaranteeds are less. Beyond that I haven't looked into it.

Please tell me you're joking.

If you are serious, and you really believe that - in this reality - we could trade Keith Davis and Greg Ellis for Reggie Bush then I may just have to smack you upside the head with a cactus.

No, I am saying, Greg Ellis, Keith Davis, and a draft pick like a # 2 or # 3, maybe even Julius Jones in the deal, with us getting the Saints # 2 or # 3 round pick.
I am saying, only way that would happen, is if the Saints are not going to pay that extra money to Bush, and they see that he will sit out the season.

So, that means the Saints # 2 pick in the first round gets nothing, so the Saints trade him to some team to get some kind of compensation for that pick, instead of nothing.

Kinda like Marshall Faulk, the great running back, that got traded from the Colts I think to the Rams for a # 2 round draft pick. That was a steal!!!!!!

I am saying, after 2-3 weeks, the Saints see Bush is holding out, & going back into the draft, they make a trade to some team, for a package of players and a draft pick, the team with best offer gets Reggie Bush.

To me, from what I have seen of bush on tape and TV, he reminds me of Tony Dorsett with his great speed and moves. Those kind of players dont come along very often like the great coach Tom Landry said, when you get a chance to get them, you had better get him.

And remember, we or the Dallas Cowboys got Tony Dorsett in a trade with Seahawks for a # 1 pick and 3 second round picks.

not only would the saints fans riot, trading for the #2 pick in thsi day and age for a playoff bound team like the boys is basically impossible.

Vince Young's contract is less than Mario's- ESPN is trying to make a story. Vinces contract has a lower signing bonus, less guaranteed money. his contract is not much bigger than marios

Well, technically, it is still a larger potential contract.

We may not even be able to trade Ellis, Davis, Jones plus our ENTIRE 07 draft for Reggie Bush. (Not that I would)
