You play the Bears and Titans, 2 of the easiest teams and QBs to get turnovers from and you come away with a big fat goose egg. The Steelers had 8 off the Titans in 1 game. Cutler is a turnover machine and we get 0 from them and actually make Young and Cutler look like all world QBs. In 4 games, this defense has turnovers in only 1 game, the game we actually won.

I really hope their mantra of being a top defense is wearing off because they are nowhere near it. They make absolutely no plays to get our offense in position or change a game or score points themselves.

At this rate, we finish dead last in takeaways. :banghead:

I wonder how long we would need to play the Titans to get 7 turnovers against them? Ha ha.

No pass rush. Ware will pop thru 1-2 times/game for sacks but we lack a consistent overall pressure from the entire defense. Our blitzes are a joke. We all know how and when it's coming. As Phil Simms said today, effective blitzing is all about timing and surprise.

They had at least one easy but Jenkins dropped it :banghead:

And that comes to another point of mine. Some of the turnovers they actually get, don't matter. That turnover would have came with 12 seconds left at the end of the half. And the ball was WAY overthrown. Jenkins didn't jump the route or make the play. Same as the pick he had in Houston. Big turnover, yes, but the QB threw it right to him.

I want to see our defense actually make some turnovers and cause them on their own.

I dont understand it either. I see all of these teams getting picks and causing fumbles but we are inept.

All of our blitzes seem to get picked up all the time, especially the ones Brooking and James do up the gut. They are just not good blitzing LBers.

Playing our defense is like playing a prevent defense. Keep everything in front, play it safe, even if you give up a 10 yard pass, at least you're not giving up a 20-yard pass. Well the Titans capitalized on that easily by just sending a WR deep past the DBs every single time while the secondary was too concerned by watching the coverage in front of them.

Any QB can just pick a defense apart when it's that easy. Elite defenses like the Steelers, they confuse the offense and force the issue on them and force mistakes/turnovers. The Cowboys being aggressive = sending Brooking in on a blitz.

The problem is they never go for the ball, ever. If there are tipped balls the defenders just stand there and stare at it. And the pass rush hasn't been any better.

The opening statement is flat out false. May have been true in 2006, but not anymore. VY has had fewer picks all year than Romo had in THIS game.

Not that it means much, but there were only 7 turnovers in the Steelers game.

Brooking. Smh at him. He flat out whiffed on a tackle today. Do we just keep him around to give those annoying pre game speeches? Dropped a pick too today.

And yes, our LB blitzing is horrible 95% of the time. It gets picked up with ease.

The Cowboys dropped two would-be interceptions today. Just sayin.' It's not like VY is great. He got lucky today with his street ball throw it up for grabs plays. He won't get away with that every week.

Yeah, the Titans dropped a couple, too.

All teams do it.

I'm happy with Vince and he has a good winning record. I'll keep him.

When Phailups is fired I pray Dallas goes back to it's roots with a 4-3 defense!

Put Ware and Spencer at DE and Ratliff and Spears at DT.

I agree...... Also see this team don't beat their guys up front one on one..... It seem that Wade have to move them around or design blitz play to get pressure.... To many time were Wade hold back and our guys can't get no pass rush, including WARE

If there's ever a time to think about going back to 4-3, it's after this season, with a lot of our 3-4 DEs contracts up in the air and Bradie James' contract expiring after the 2011 season.

I have a feeling that our secondary is more suited for a 4-3. I thought Roy L. Williams was just making excuses when he talked about his struggles in the 3-4 but maybe he was right. We're seeing too many blown assignments, too much miscommunication between the LBs and DBs in this 3-4 defense...and this is our 4th year running it under Wade. Should not be happening at this point. Our players just can't handle this scheme.

Maybe Jason Williams is more suited to play 4-3 OLB. Sean Lee is our MLB of the future already, then we could draft a playmaking beast like Akeem Ayers of UCLA. If Williams is a bust then we can always find a serviceable 4-3 OLB in free agency.

Pretty pathetic. Both of Vince Young's TD passes should have been picked off.

No no no we need to keep the 34 def just get better playmakin LB's .. I wish we had a steelers mentality and physical play to our def... Dem boys gonna make it happen no matter wat... Dallas just need 2 make it happen, watever cards r delt make it happen.... Oh yea and we r officially the best team n da league at beating ourselves!!!
