Ok, draft guru experts and nfl rules experts, why cant a team talk to a player if a trade is involved.
Example, the cowboys are supposedly interested in pacman jones, to me, if your interested in trading for a player, and the team like the titans give you permission for a trade, then why cant you talk to the player, let alone his agent to talk contract parameters.
Seems to me, like parcells once said, you should be allowed to buy the groceries, to me, if your going to trade for a player, you should be able to talk to him, get a feel for him, why he did this or that, etc, and his thinking on how he could fit your team, and what position you want him to play etc.
So, say if its true the titans did give the cowboys permission to talk trade for pacman why cant they talk to pacman? Just doesnt make sense to me if your going to trade for a player and you cant talk to him.
