I'd choose 2 out of the following if the above is true

1.) R. Hannam
2.) T. Curtis
3.) N. Jones
4.) T. Copper
5.) J. Fabini

By the way...thinking we could hopefully get a late day pick for Marcus Coleman

That is 69 players (Sean Ryan was traded and that roster doesn't include Bilbo, an obvious cut.).

Here are my cuts (17):

Austin
Baker
Batiste
Bilbo
Bjork
Bowen
Coleman, K.
Coleman, M.
Glymph
Green
Hoyte

Tarullo

Marcus Coleman goes on the suspended list automatically. He doesn't count toward the 53.

The team is not cutting him because that would basically end his career. A team that signed him would them have to wait through the four game suspension - and if you need an FS you would could, you know, play. You can't serve a suspension without being on a roster.

Do you see Sean Ryan in that list? That is the roster on the Cowboys website and there are 70 players listed. Bilbo would make it 71. Unless I am missing something I don't see any other players that should not be in there. Your cuts looks good to me though.

I copied that exact roster from dc.com into Excel, and there are 69 rows. Bilbo is not listed. He would make it 70.

My (unclear) comment about Ryan was simply to point out that the roster correctly reflects the last roster move I am aware of (Ryan). Not sure why Bilbo is not listed.

Anyway, from the list you posted, you only need to cut 16. Bilbo is not listed but is an obvious cut.

I'm not so sure K. Coleman gets cut. That's putting an awful lot of faith in Hatcher, from Grambling. I think he might stay at the expense of Pepper Johnson and Stanley.

I also think that Copper will sneak onto the squad, along with Kincaid and Hurd, forcing Green off the team.

I'm not sold on Hoyte. I think that Boiman gets a spot because he can play all 4 LB positions, and that Fowler, Hoyte, and Glymph get let go.

Tough calls, which is great.

Yeah, my list is a best case scenario on who makes it to the practice squad. We will no doubt lose a couple players this year that would normally otherwise stick. That's what happens when you have a deep and talented team.

I would love to keep all those guys too, but who do you kick off the roster just to keep them from being exposed? Fabini...with our shaky o-line I doubt it. Vanderjagt...not gonna happen. Hurd or Rector...they would stand even less of a chance of making it to the PS.

Really, it's a good problem to have.

I agree with every player you selected for the team, except NT Stanley. He's looked lost out there and needs gain strength and become more familiar with 2 gap position vs what he played in college. As a strength round pick & considering his play in the game (unless he was better last nite), I think he'll make it to the PS. That will allow us to keep one more player who is either talented or plays at a position of need.
