Never bothered to look at him, and from what I gather from various sources he would be an improvement - but how much? Would he give up more plays then he makes? Is he dependable? can he QB the secondary like Hamlin does?

he could have a real impact here. In Zona there isn't a DeMaercus Ware and Anthony Spencer, so I think he could be really good here. However, if we're not signing Austin long term yet, Rolle aint happinin

Per Profootballfocus.com (over the 2008 and 2009 seasons):

Rolle - 72 Targets, 686 yards given up, 5 TDs given up, 3 PDs
Hamlin - 41 Targets, 335 yards given up, 4 TDs given up, 3 PDs

Addtionally:

INTs per game played (career):
Hamlin - .146
Rolle - .176

Single season high INTs
Hamlin - 5
Rolle - 5

Very clearly, he's the savior of the defense, because he had 4 INTs in 2009.

He went to Da U, which is the same place Ed Reed went.

I think you can connect the dots on your own.

Yeah well OJ Simpson and Mike Garrett both went to USC. Did not make Reggie Bush an All Pro RB has it?

I have my doubts we would get much of an improvement of Rolle over Hamlin.

it would be an improvement but barely, guys so overrated

that's what i think as well.

we will get a safety in the draft.

I think he's more of a liability than a "playmaker". he feasts on bad teams with bad qbs.

Also Marcus Allan and Charles White, don't forget Marcus and Charlie.

:D

Charles not so much. Forgot about Allan who was indeed a real special back. Point is what they accomplished meant nothing to Reggie Bush or Lendale White.

This is entirely different.

At least he feasts on bad QB rather than no QB's at all like Hamlin.

This is why I'd rather draft a safety. Fans hate on Ken Hamlin entirely too much.

As they should for what he is paid.

Don't get wrapped up into the salaries. I'm upset with Bill Gates for the product he's put on the market for what he's paid, but I'm not going to unrealistically covet someone else's product because of what their CEO makes. If that were the case, more people would use Linux.

myron rolle could be a 4th or 5th rounder if we trade for a 5th we could possibly have 2 rolles, thomas and rolle or allen and rolle. if we dont get sensabaugh back

He certainly isnt worse than Hamlin.

For that reason alone I'll take him over Ken. If we keep Ken, his contract gets pretty ridiculous going forward. He's getting paid top safety money to be average. With the lack of a cap, this is our best opportunity to look for an upgrade if we don't feel he is already on our roster.

I think I misspoke. Realized that the OP was talking about Myron Rolle, FS, Florida State and not Antrell Rolle from AZ.

Yes. If we are able to get Myron Rolle in the 2nd or 3rd, I love the pick. I think he's going to be very good based on how he showed up to the Senior Bowl.

He is in incredible shape and went to oxford for a post graduate year. Lets just say that the wonderlick isn't his downfall. Neither is motivation. After a year away from college football he still came back in football shape ready to compete. I would do backflips if we got him.
