OK, how nervous were you when Cortez lined up for the game winner?

Actually, Cortez grabbed a bobbled stap and shot fire out his arse as he fired a 30 yard slant to Glenn for the game winning TD :D
He's a bad man.

I thought it was going left.
Me too, and he was hooking them left all night. I hate when it comes down to a kick like that!

Scared me to death, figured JC wouldn't have made it out of Texas Stadium alive. I figured we would have Larry Allen kicking FGs next weekend!

I was sorry I started that cortez solid thread yesterday. He honestly scares the crap out of me.

But he was kicking well until this week. He even almost missed the first short one to the left. Maybe I just jinxed him. I'll never say he's kicking well again.

It seems like when he hits it right, he can boom it right down the pipe, straight as an arrow, like my 5 iron.

But when he doesn't hit it right, he always jerks it to the left, like my 4 iron. When he does that, he can miss even the shortest kicks.

Maybe he just needs to take a little off...

I was listening on the net, so I just closed my eyes and prayed. When I heard the crowd roar I knew he had made it. Instantly my heart went back to its normal beat after a BIG sigh of relief. :dance3:

I just now got my underwear dislodged from its previous location. Pulling left all day, I thought he would over compensate to the right. Of course NYG could'nt score any way so it was only a matter of time . . .(right?) er uh . . . .

Haven't seen anyone comment on this yet, but didn't the background behind the goalposts make it extremely difficult to see the ball go through the uprights? It sure did on my TV, and I had to watch the folks sitting in the area between the posts to kind of tell whether it was going through or not. Even after watching my taped version of the kick a few times it's hard to see. Anyone else experience this?

Yeah, it was like the ball entered the Bermuda Triangle....with Cortez it's all Unexplained Mysteries.

My cousin and I both had pillows over our faces.

Two grown men in the middle of the living room hiding behind pillows. It was a nailbiter of a game.

I was at a sports bar, again(dang cable company), ... screen one was Cortez kicking the game winner in OT, screen two was the Commanders coming up short to lose, and screen three was the Squeelers throwing a pick for a TD to lose in OT.

The place was full of Squeeler fans.

Those are my two favorite teams to see lose. I love when they lose.

All three games ended one right after another and I just sat there numb.

But yes, I was not real confident when he trotted out on the field, even though a 48 yarder like he missed is not a gimme.

I was sitting there drenched in sweat, praying that he made it. When he did I screamed as loud as I could (I've got mono) and started dancing around in my dazed medicated state. Happy times :D

I honestly thought he was gonna shank it, I'm so glad I was wrong. :laugh2:
Me too man! I turned the volume down and walked into the kitchen then came back, slowly peeked at the screen and saw Parcells smiling. What a relief! That was not an enjoyable game to watch with the exception of a majority of our defensive play. I'm going to be completely gray by the end of the season! 5 of 6 games decided in the final seconds! My heart can't take it!
