Let's give the Saints credit. They executed and we didn't. It all comes down to execution.

Our record right now is better than most people thought it would be when the season began. Is that not correct?

Every team is going to have a game like this....let's just hope that this is not a presursor of things to come. I don't think that it is.

It would make me feel better if it was that simple. It wasn't just execution. It was preparation and game planning and the coaching staff fell woefully short this week.

Give the negative nancys credit, they haven't:

a) called Parcells senile:

b) called Parcells boobs;

c) said we wouldn't win another game this year; or

d) written "you are what your record says you are".

I'm not disagreeing with that....I'm just saying this board gets too low after a loss.

Nothing wrong with getting up when you win, but the depths that some people go when we lose is pretty bad.

Look at all of the games this week....there were ALOT of blowouts this week. In fact, I can't remember another week where the average winning margin was so great.

well, if your game prep and planning is faulty then it's a lot harder to execute. I hope we can figuire this mess out by playoff time.

But that's the thing.

We all know every loss is going to come back to bite ya. We're all feeling that way about that Commanders loss right about now.

And after a butt whooping like that, you can't help but wonder the ramifications.

How does the team respond? Have teams learned how to defense Romo? What's wrong with the defense? What's up with the "Parcells will be back if TO leaves" rumor (by the way, has it been confirmed Ed Werder stated that?)?

I wonder that about EVERY loss....including the very first loss of the season.

We had far too much on the line to lay an egg like this. National TV; maintaining a two game lead in the division; playing at home; playing for a firm grip on the 2nd seed in the playoffs, etc. This should have been like a playoff game. Hope it's not a sign of things to come.

The bottom line is that this was a statement game leading up to the playoffs and I sure don't like what we had to say.

WORST case, we beat the Lions and with 9 wins we make the playoffs most likely. BUT, I think we can win the next 3 games.

We just need to RUN the ball more regularly, and on defense, we have to recognize screens, dumps offs, etc. better.
