Seriously, whats it going to take for Jerry Jones to see the problems on his team.

I mean after seeing the team this year and last, they do show signs of brilliance, and they do have the talent to get to the big game.

Most of the media and most here on the forum see that what we have now isn't working.
JJ doesn't seem to see it, or refuses too.

Is his ego that big that he won't eat crow for some of his decisions on players and coaches and his on hands ideas that don't work.

You would think that keeping thing status quo for next year is definitely not the answer.

I know he's done OK in the past, but it's so far back, I think things have changed from when we were a team to be reckoned with.

I don't know, it's clear to me his first priority is making $$ with the new stadium and all, and I guess I can't blame him for that ,but if he wants to keep selling tickets ,jerseys, and sports paraphernalia and keeping the fans happy ,you would think that he would try to put a better product on the field.

He does spend money on parts for the team ,but maybe he should first look at how the pieces will go together in the whole puzzle.

I know this has been said before in other ways, but seeing what I saw today in the SB, I could really picture The Boys There.

But unfortunately ,not in the near future.

Jerry is old i hate to say this but maybe we should get used to the same mindset and Raiders fans "He can't live forever"

Stephen Jones seems a lot smarter then Jerry so there is hope

According to Jerry, we're this close, so there will be no major changes (you can't see my fingers, but they are really, really close together right now).

2009 will be fun.

It's going to take a lot because he hasn't learned a thing since Superbowl XXX 13 years ago. Everyone seems to be getting tired of this but him.

Hey why don't we try to get Rae Carruth out of jail, Jerry? He'd be a great replacement for TO.

Jerry is going to continue to be Jerry with his hand in every part of the Cowboys. Until he realizes that he needs to let go and focus on being the "owner" the Cowboys might not make it back to another Super Bowl.

What exactly is he supposed to do? Cut everybody fire all the coaches. This team does not need to start rebuilding like it or not. We are still only a piece or two away.

Look at the Cards for cryin' out loud they've been awful for the last 40 years and got it right this year.

Wouldn't you say a large part of that was due to a "coaching change"?

Yea, but it took him a couple of years...they weren't good last year.

And not every coaching change works. I'm just saying that it is unrealistic to think that there will be major changes in the offseason. It takes years for major changes to happen, thats rebuilding. And that is not what this team needs.

My hope is that at some point competitive drive will kick in and these guys will want to fulfill their potential as a team instead of worrying about personal agendas and running to the media to air their every concern.

My worry is that this team is filled with players who, sure, want to win, but if and only if winning can be achieved through them being the "show."

Unfortunately, I think a major player is going to have to be released or disciplined in order to send a message.

Now this is not an anti-TO thread, so dont make it one. I am not even saying TO is the player, I am just saying that at some point a major player is going to have to be released or disciplined in order to send a message to everybody else.

It could be a player like TO or it could be a player like Roy Williams (safety), just somebody with a "name".

I predict this will happen by training camp.
