Given that I stated exactly the opposite, I would say no.

As a fan of this team it gives me no joy to have been right in this case.

And Jerry Jones' comments about 'continuity' don't give me a whole lot of optimism for next season either.

So you dug up a thread from 2 and 1/2 months ago and just so happens YOU were correct?

Yeah, dig up a post after a few months.

I'll play.

At this point I say no. We were playing very average even before all of the injuries.

We play in a very tough division and will be going with a backup Quarterback with a very average defense for a quarter of the season.

When Tony Romo gets back, he will have to play against New York, Pittsburgh and the Eagles to name a few opponents and there is no telling what our record will be at this point.

However, I think the NFC as whole isn't that strong so we may have a shot.

This guy knows what he is talking about .

Well, in defense of almost everybody, none of us fans could have ever beleived that the team was going to go this gutless and heartless down the stretch.

I guess that is what is most depressing, not that we didnt make the playoffs, but that the team played like they didnt really care if they made the playoffs or not.

Then Jerry comes out and says Wade "Im going to change" Phillups and Jason "Tecmo Bowl" Garrett are coming back in 09 for a do-over.

Jerry just rubbed salt in the wound, that is all he did.

My point wasn't any type of "I told you so" and I mentioned that when I brought this topic back up.

My intention was to show how much this team actually underachieved.

To go from a Super Bowl favorite to missing the playoffs shows some epic underachieving.

And when the 'braintrust' preaches "continuity", it makes me think we're in the midst of Campo II.

I think we miss the playoffs and Jerry will give Wade a big vote of confidence anyways. We'll probably blame it all on Bruce Read the special teams coach.
