Alright.. So who here thought, along with me, when they saw the Carp/Barron trade that it was garbage for garbage? Did any of you actually think Barron would make the final 53? I have to say, I didn't follow the cut downs closely enough to realize that Barron had made the roster of 53 prior to Sunday. That realization came early in the game Sunday night when he was called for his first holding penalty. At that point early on my heart sunk a bit... Are we that pressed for JAGS that this clown starts at RT for us??? Really??? I mean really...

I cannot, for the best of me, figure out how this guy not only snuck onto the 53 but also snuck right in to a starting gig. Someone screwed the pooch big time on that one. Major screw action...

Yes.

My description in the forum was:
Two dumpster diving bums exchanging their 'treasures.'

I must admit, I didn't even know who Barren was unil reading about him here.
And that wasn;t good, so he ends up being what I thought. A Jones waste.

Looks like the Rams got the better end of that deal......they dumped their garbage and we are eating ours.

When he was originally drafted by the Rams, I did not think he would amount to much. For some reason he gave me that feeling that he'd be average or less.

However, when we traded for him, I became optimistic and hoped that he'd work out for us. When we saw the glaring ying and yang between him and Free in the HoF game, I became less impressed. I kept high hopes though, thinking that he just needed more time and because of the good reports from him out of camp.

I thought he would be serviceable at best if we needed a backup to step in in a pinch. I never wanted him to start.

Sunday night changed my mind.

He's the first Cowboy I've ever completely hated in all my life.

Cut the idiot.

Mike Lombardi stated that Barron had no business on our roster.

He stated that the Rams had the worst roster in the NFL, and Barron isn't good enough to play on the Cowboys.

It's another embarrassment.

RT cost us the game.

Barron played horrible.

On one running play, all he had to do is block the dang safety, and Felix Jones was going to end up in the secondary.

Of course, Barron ended up on the ground.

Get a pillow down there and go to sleep, Alex.

That guy doesn't care.

What are you talking about??? He was brought in to be the swing tackle, you know, a vet.. Then he got hurt and now he's playing because Colombo is hurt, Young is hurt, and somehow they trust him more than Brewster...

I honestly thought he'd be serviceable but I was wrong..:(

Hey... We're all wrong on occasion. I just can't figure out how he made the 53. Swing tackle appears to have been a reach too. :laugh2:

I honestly thought we kind of got the shorter end of the stick. I've watched every Rams game since Barron was drafted and was honestly never that impressed with him. I was even less impressed when I got the chance to talk to one of the Rams former scouts in the off-season and learned some more about Mr. Barron.

I've been screaming O-line, O-line, O-line for years now, and Barron wouldn't even be on my top 100.

A QB, no matter how good he is, can't get it done behind a porous o-line...same with a RB.

Romo has been saving this o-line from the time that he started.

Jedi? Wonder how he got that name? From continually bailing out his o-line out of necessity.

It is a joke and an indictment on this organization that this soft, "Jane" player is still on this roster.

Embarrassing!

Jimmy Johnson and Bill Parcells would have cut him after training camp and after that game for sure, imo.

Jimmy Johnson would have booted him.

This guy isn't a winner, and I want winners!

Finally, someone else that gets it.

This has been said around here for years. It's hardly a new discovery now that we lost a game because of a RT.

The big issue is that Barron is the only T besides Free that can play LT.

That's open to interpretation. I can play left tackle but you don't see me starting or even on the 53 man roster for the beloved Cowboys.

I'm sorry, but the only image that comes to mind to me when the term 'swing' tackle is stated inclusive of his name...is as in the old Western days. With him at the end of a rope.

There would be no consideration as to cash flows with him. I think he should formally request that Orakpo return his arse in a paper sack before the door slams his backside escaping a mob tar and feather party.
