OK step up and place yer bet....the Owens contract...

It's a double-edge sword. Part of me wants it to be a small signing bonus because I'm afraid of what could happen if he blows up on us like Philly, and also want us to get a bargain on one of the league's best receivers. Part of me wants it to be a fat bonus because I think he'll grow old gracefully and retire with the Cowboys if he has a big enough contract, instead of holding out or causing any problems. All he asked of the Eagles was pay me what I'm worth.

3 years 26 million
12 million SB
If he meets certain goals (# TDs, SB appearance etc) he gets another 6 million SB next year.

Three years 24 million, 8 million signing bonus
:star:

3 years, 21 mill 9 mil SB with a boatload of incentatives.

Vet min...no bonus...no incentives :laugh2:

That's what I vote for.............he deserves nothing more until he proves he can lead a team to the super bowl.

Well the smart contract is, 3 years.. all vet minimums on salary with heave performance goals which could add up to alot of money, enough to makehim the highest paid WR in the game today. The realistic one however is 3 yrs 20 million with 8 guarnteed,, with a roster bonus every year.

What do you think it'll be?

Except for the ********** who are talking about veteran minimum, plus incentives everyone seems to be on about the same block and I think they are all pretty realistic.

Screw incentive laden contracts. TO's all about the money - give him the money. That's the only thing that's gonna keep him quiet. You give him an incentive laden contract, what happens when it's week 14 and he's not on pace tor each his incentives, and Bledsoe's looking Glenn's way a little too much. That's not something I want to see.

3 years, 21 million, 12 mil signing bonus.

Somewhere between 3 and 5 years, roughly 6-7 mil a year. Huge SB because that comes outta Jerry's pocket. So my official guess is 4 years 24 mil 8 mil SB.

This is interesting. I'd be hesitant to give him 3 years after he wore out his welcome in Philly after year one.

if it were me, 2 years at what it takes to put him in the top 5 of players paid at his position. Thats all he wanted.

3 years, $30m. $12m signing bonus.

I agree on $12m for sure...it would give him the biggest WR SB in FA this year.

I sure hope we dont under pay him...we know what that could lead too.

We're finally financially stable enough to shell out a huge contract. I just hope Jerry didn't make it any longer than 4 years.
