Just getting TOO many mixed messages here, among them...

1. Romo's Cabo trip

2. Romo's g/f is a celebrity

3. Our OL somehow getting TIRED after stretches of long drives.

4. The officials making the game pro-Giants

5. Wade giving his team a weekend off(not an entire week, that is) during the bye

6. Garrett and Sparano interviewing for other jobs. Hence, Garrett was too distracted of drawing up a good game plan. He pounded the rock-which, BTW, something he got BLASTED for after the 2nd Eagles game.

7. Crayton's drops and gave up a route on the last possession

8. Romo re-injured his thumb

OK-seriously, which is it? We can't have it both, three, ALL ways. It's either one or the other, not everything.:bang2:

We lost because its almost impossible to beat a team that is almost as good as you 3 times in a row in one year.

All the other crap is just excuses.

We play that Giant team 10 times we would win 7 of them .... we just happened to lose the one that sent us home.

bad timing and a bad matchup.

How about the obvious reason?

TO and Glenn were not 100%. The Giants realized that they could man cover them in the 2nd half and send multiple blitz packages and they simply took away a game that penalties, drops, and play calling dropped right in their lap.

There is no blame. Simply kudos to the winning team because they executed what the breaks left for them to do.

Would that be too easy?

We're not who we thought we are. and we let em off the hook.

Seriously, we bought into 13-3 too much. we should have been 11-5. G-men were 10-6. the difference between losing and winning is slim.

We lost because the giants were the better team sunday.

Plain and simple.

Spot on.

Nothing mixed about it. It comes down to execution. The most important TD of his career and he quits.

All the other excuses are pre-Crayton quitting. HE is the reason we lost the game.

He catches it. We win.
Coaches will tell ya... we had a chance to win at the end and they wont blame pre-plays

If you want to be technical, TEH REAL REASON we lost is because the Giants scored more points than the Cowboys.

That should settle this highly debated topic.

And clearly, this needed a new thread. Because the hundreds of others just weren't enough.

And because Miles Austin wasn't implemented in the game plan..

Who cares why we lost, we lost. Its going to be nothing but motivation for next year. We came up short in the game, it happens. Im sorry its not like putting our finger on the loss will bring GB to Dallas this weekend.

I will agree that we lost because of Crayton.

There was not a huge difference between the Cowboys and Giants in the first two games even though we won them both by 10 or so.

If Crayton cathces the first one or does not quit on the second one we win. If he catches the first one we very well could have won by 10 again. The second and we win by 3.

I agree that it is a good maturity builder for next year. I thought their maturity level showed at the end of the regular season in that they seemed to be waiting for the playoffs once they clinched the division.

It is called playoff experience and we had very little as a team.

We have a winner!

You were criticizing me a few days ago for trying to analyze why we lost. Look, if you were so above this topic and you didn't care, why are you starting a thread about this and bringing up this issue all over again? Most of us are over this and are happy we resigned Garrett. Dude, that game is over. Let it rest and move on. There is no need to try stir up this issue and pick fights with your fellow Cowboy fans. That time was reserved for Sunday. Let it go

Spot on Hos!

I have a question for you.

Suppose Crayton does not slow up on that route and we slip by the Giants.
Considering how this team played are you certain they get by GB? And if they did, do you really think they stood a chance against NE in the SB?

Its the only and I MEAN ONLY SOLICE I can take in this miserable loss.
As much as I wanted the NE rematch in Arizona, I wasnt interested in getting crushed and then suffering the unavoidable SB hangover.

I'm not Hostile, but my reactions were, "So what?"-really, after Brandon Jacobs spiked the ball on the playclock, I would have thought the team would have responded with fire, but they just went the opposite direction.

It was just the way the entire team went south, both physically and mentally, as the game wore on, I just didn't think they would go on to beat the Packers the following week.

By the way, that would have been a 15 yard spike if that had been TO.
