Ok, who gets cut this week?

One bad preseason game

The first cuts are next week on August 28th. Rosters must be at 75 players. So 10 players will be cut per team.

2nd cuts are 4 days later on September 1st. Down to 53. So 22 more players from each team.

It's not like the Cowboys have to decide who sucks less to make a roster. But now we will release some players that can/will catch on with other teams.

Honestly it was only one bad play. He was targeted six times.

1. Slipped and fell. It just happens.
2. Tony overthrew him.
3. Pass interference.
4. Bad play. Perfect pass landed in his hands.
5. B. Johnson let it soar out of bounds.
6. B. Johnson threw it about 6 yards too short.

I doubt we cut anyone players we recognize, or believed at any point during the offseason would contribute this season, maybe Stephen Bowen, but probably not till the last cut.

And the dropped pass was mainly due to the fact that he had poor hand placement and was more of a technique gaff. He's still a raw, young project learning how to play WR on a big time level. He's just one year removed from a Div. III school.

But there won't be any cutting of any of those players with the first cuts, maybe only Butler.

Players like Smith (DE), Bartel, Hannah, Jefferson or Rabb, Paulescu, Lougheed, Harrington, the guard that's also getting a look at backup center (not Procter, Tarullo maybe?) etc are first cut candidates.

I say 6... with Stanback being the project. Austin at this point is better than Stanback IMO.
