After 2 games so far..and after watching last night's game with the Chargers and the Pats..

..this question begs to be asked.

Which is the better HC..Phillips or Turner..?

What would our season be looking like had we had Turner instead of Phillps..?

It's early, I know.

But so far, I'd say Phillips has done more with less than Turner has done with a stocked team.

Turner is on the way to pulling a flat-line in SD..IMO.

DOA.

Comments..?

I think SD could not have drawn a worst opponet to play this weekend. I knew NE would rally around their coach and I expected they would come out and play lights out. I will say if Norv does not get things turned around quickly he will be out of SD before years end.

If norv and phillips are the options, well those are not good options.

I happen to believe norv turner is set up to fail, possibly miserably....Ted Cottrell is not going to help him. Players never like him and he usually struggles.

They looked like dogmeat last night in new england, that might just be the fact that new england is far superior to everyone else though.

Let's see how Dallas does against the same opponents. The Cowboys get to face the Bears and Patriots over the next few weeks, so we can get a better comparison after those games.

Um ... not sure the question is begging after only two games.

The Chargers have faced much better competition than the Boys have.

Give it 4-5 more weeks, and then we can jump to a conclusion.

I felt all along we made the right hire.

Getting Garrett in here to run Norv's offense with some tweaks while keeping Sparano who helps a ton in the running game and for continuity sakes was a boon.

But the bigger issue is defense. We needed to remain a 3-4 after investing so heavily in the scheme. Losing Ferguson and with Canty/Spears being average I never wanna see more than 3 of our DL on the field at once, lol.

At the same time we needed to be more aggressive on defense. Wade brings that.

I agree. On Garrett I love the fact how he will go for the kill in a game as he did against the Giants when thing were a bit tight and once again yesterday on the 4th and 4 when the game was only 10 point difference.

Really? I am growing more and more skeptical about Sparano. Our pass protection is excellent, but i feel like our run blocking is lacking. One of the reasons Barber is so good is because he creates holes that don't look to be there.

i don't think it's just wade vs. norval. it's which coaching staff is better across the board. i think garrett has a high hand in what our offense is doing and i'd not leave him out of the comparison.

Its all Jason Garrett. Wade is currently a non-factor.

Who is better? Garrett or Norv? Student vs. Teacher....

Our coaching staff is better than the chargers. Any time you have Ted Cottrell calling the defense your in for some trouble.

I will take our coaching staff over there's and they have more talent than we do. So it will be interesting to see what happens.

Are you serious?

Anyway... I thought Norv's selling point was that he was a QB guru. Well, Rivers looks awful. And I was always a big fan of his.

Norv will have that SD team a fringe playoff team in no time.

This might get me killed, and I'm ok with that, but I almost feel embarassed sometimes watching Wade on the sidelines.

Kind of like how I feel watching Joe Gibbs.

Neither one has any semblance of a poker face. Yesterday, after Folk made a pretty decent kick to put us up 10-3, I believe at the time, Wade was on the sideline grinning like a cheshire cat and bouncing up and down like we just won the game - which was a bit premature.

This is more of an observation than a complaint. I love me some Wade and Redball.

You don't think 5 turnovers had anything to do with the win yesterday? Come on man. It is a team effort.

I would add a little love for the special teams as well. Heck of a run back by Crayton. Also, last week Thompson had a key runback on a kick return.

Wade is our head coach. Not Jason Garrett. Not yet, at least. Wade is in charge of everything, so until Garrett gets promoted, the phase of our team that wins the game is irrelevent.

Because Wade is the coach of the ENTIRE team.

Garrett's never been more than a QB coach, and he's only been a coach of any kind for a few years. He's doing a very good job so far, but he's not ready yet to be a head coach. So the head coach he's working for needs a little credit. I suspect Wade is providing a little more guidance to him than most people would ever suspect.

And to SP's point, I don't mind the coach being demonstrative... Plenty of head coaches are like that. But I was hoping for the sunglasses look yesterday. Makes Wade look a little meaner. :)

Demonstrative is great, I love some fire.

Grinning (pardon the expression) like an idiot and bouncing around after your team kicks a first half field goal...is a little much to me. Like I said, it's kind of like watching Joe Gibbs. At least you know it means alot to them, I guess.
