We saw some good things out there, and some real bad things out there.

There is enough finger pointing to go around.

I think the thing that pisses us off the most was the fact that Bledsoe hurt us all day, and he didn't seem to help us at all.

But I don't know why anyone is pissed at T.O. He was yelling on the sidelines? How many of us were yelling in our living rooms? How many people are asking for Bledsoe's head? You don't even know what he was saying. So please enough with the anti-T.O. crap. Calm down. He hasn't done anything, that we know of at all.

As for the rest of the offense. The offensive line isn't completely to blame. They did a great job in run blocking. And you have to wonder why the coaches didn't call more runs. Jones had like 96 yards in the beginning of the 4th quarter. And Bledsoe held on to the ball far too long. 4 or 5 of the 7 sacks were on him alone.

Not to mention the mistakes by the special teams unit (McBriar). honestly I wasn't pleased with Shuisam either. What happened to our weapon on kickoffs?

Also where is the praise for Vanderjagt, he hit a 40 yard field goal. He bang off the post on a 26 yarder... you don't get much closer than that. He missed but it wasn't way off. I see no problems with Vanderjagt.

The defense played really well. Yeah they gave up a lot of plays, but thats what happens when you're on the field all day. You're going to give up big plays. The defense more than held its own. But hopefully we don't cut Marcus Coleman, cause obviously Watkins might not be ready after all.

I love it, Don't blame TO or finger point it was all bledsoe? Bledsoe also converted some big plays ran for a big 1st down and a TD and did not get much help from his line, on the last int according to Parcells Witten was to move to the outside he didn't the QB has to release that pass ahead of time but no blame Bledsoe? It appears you are finger pointing but only at Bledsoe.

I didn't say we didn't need to point the finger. I said there was enough of it to go around, but most of it falls under bledsoe who turned the ball over not once, not twice, not thrice, but frice....

Before the season, I looked at the schedule and saw that three of our first four games were on the road. At that time, I thought if we made it out of that stretch at 2-2, we'd be in decent shape. Here we are 2-2 after that stretch and it doesn't feel good because of how we lost those 2, but realistically, this is about where I expected us to be. I hoped we'd be 4-0, but before the season, did anyone really expect us to be undefeated at this point?

Hey, that's a good topic for a new thread:

When Will You Calm Down

1. When hell freezes over.
2. When Drew is holding a clip board.
3. When TO and Jason are scoring TD too.
4. When we start implementing some "fancy" blitz packages
5. When we fake the run on 3rd & 1 (sometime ... good lawd!!!!!)
6. When we consistently get a kick off return game.

Look, IT has taken The Ticket from me and I can't listen to sport talk radio because I'm still in mourning. I can't calm down :)

I just think some people are just tired of being sick and tired  .

It would be interesting to go back and count up the win/loss record under Parcells against extremely good competition from 2003-2006.

We are 0-2 in 2006.

So you know for a fact that Witten did not mess up that play? Parcells seem to say differently but it is on Bledsoe? Bledsoe does share in the blame I'll give you that but other share just as much in this loss. O-lineman know better than to allow defenders to their inside but they could not stop Howard from doing that more than a couple of times.

The answer to things are simple. Start Romo with this line play Texans and Giants and see who is to blame the QB or the OL. If the team does great with Romo then the OL is ok, but if Romo is also sacked 7 times and commit 7 TOs then its the OL.

What in the world a kick off return game? Thompson was very good again yesterday and our good drives started with good field position because of that?

Good god, people go crazy with overreacting.

GB - you should make a form copy of this thread... you are gonna use it more than you want to this year as long as Bledsoe is the starter... put Romo in and you will STILL need it

Good post!

I'm just as disappointed as everyone else but I was counting this game as a loss anyway.

True. I thought about that this morning looking at the schedule. Most would think 2-2. I am also thinking 6-3 after those 3 road games. Even at 5-4 and 5 of the last 7 at home. It still looks good

Realistically you cannot look at schedule put one down as a win and one down as a loss... if this was a team that was hitting on all cylinders.. then maybe... but not us... not now.... not anytime soon as long as DB is QB

Has Parcells every publicly called out Bledsoe? Or Vinny when he was here?

He stated Bledsoe made mistakes if you want to say that is calling a player out. I don't think Parcells is going to rake Blesoe over the coals nor is he going to do that to any of the players. I think he understands the media and fans will do pleanty of that.

I don't know for a fact that Jason messed up his route. (And I committing blasphemy here ... but I don't give a flying flip what Parcells says right about now :laugh2: ) But I do know (or would hope) that you wouldn't just BLINDLY throw the ball in there, in that situation, with the game on the line. No way no how. Maybe Charlie Frye ... but not Drew Bledsoe. He's been around the block a few times. Dag, Kurt Warner would have at least bought us a couple seconds :banghead: :banghead:

Witten may have cut the route off short, but that doesn't change the fact that he was double covered. Watch the play - Bledsoe was already commited to throwing with one defender directly in front of Witten and Sheppard 4-5 left of Witten. The Eagles were all over Witten whether it was a curl or he was supposed to trail it to the outside. Bledsoe made a bad choice no matter how you look at it.
