I like how it's not because he's simply a criminal that makes him scum. It's because he's a criminal AND a rat. Otherwise he'd just another person.

Got no problem with prisoners. No real beef with rats either. Prison rats better stay the hell away though because we're just not going to see eye to eye.

that is part of the reason I hate prison rats in particular. he deep down doesn't care about the prison break but will rat out his friends only to protect himself

How do you know they were his "friends"? Is there some kind of back story I'm missing? If not, you seem to be engaging in a great deal of projection about the situation. For all I (we) know, those guys could have been abusing him regularly.

What I do know is that you're more supportive of criminals continuing to engage in criminal activity than one who isn't. Tells me a lot.

He was doing it, like most rats, only to save his own skin. He likely would have gotten off anyway saying he was stuck with them in the vehicle.

I laugh how posters here are making out like he is some kind of saint for ratting while conveniently forgetting he isn't supporting his own children which in my view is criminal.

Glad to see you've got everyone figured out. If it makes life easier for you, have at it.

Not sure why folks always get sucked in by CCF's skewed moral compass. Y'all know he always takes position to the left of the norm... smh

or in this case the "right" position and anyway someone has to counter the "hang em high" and holier than thou types on this site

I am shocked though that this crowd would defend a guy in prison on drug charges though, that seems like the type of guy most here would hate but somehow he is now equal to law abiding citizens SMH

Left, right, whatever... It's your position...and it's always opposite to the majority of folks.

And there's nothing holier than thou or hang 'em high about this thread, so being a contrarian makes no sense. Nobody's defending or applauding either guy. More than likely it probably didn't make sense for the rest of the guys to take off and try to run away. We understood why he called. We also know why the other yahoos ran off. Incompetence by the guards for leaving them unsupervised.

perhaps but let's not pretend this is some fine upstanding individual who is doing what all law abiding citizens should do, he is in prison for some serious crime, he is not some little old lady caught up in mistake

Well here is the thing, he is trying to rehabilitate himself so he can try to live right, yes the odds are stacked against him, but at least he is trying to change.

from what i gather, he's in prison for not paying child support. in these economic times you have NO idea what put him in this position. but like WG said, you're just a chain yanker.

Most of the US system is filled with these rats...unfortunately snitching has become almost the norm and segregation is set up for these usual gang members to snitch and dismantle drug rings within the prison system. Canadian has it somewhat right but without the current context of the new prison culture in the US. Snitches are sometimes dealt with via corrupt prison guards, and "unlocked" or "unattended" cells or sections of the facilities to allow for retaliation but even this is somewhat rare. There are whole segments of large prisons dedicated to protecting snitches by hiding them with the other fodder (pedos, trannys, fellow ex gang snitches, etc.) That is also why I laugh when I hear rapists, peders, etc. will get "justice" but that is also rarely the case; sorry to burst that bubble yaw. They are aware of that status and immediately request for segregation and are granted this exception for their "safety" as if they deserve it. There are rarely any characters to admire inside, it just is what it is and you do what you have to get by.
