I go to Oklahoma State and I have seen Dez Bryant play a lot. This information is complete false. Dez has played every position on the field and did not need to rely on his coaches. I can tell you personally that during his sophmore year I was able to walk by the pracitce fields after my lab (in the afternoons) because I lived right by the practice fields. Anyways one thing about Dez is that he has several times stayed after practice and stayed to work on the machines or stayed and practiced some way. He is a very hard worker. I do not know Dez personally but I can tell you that as an Oklahoma State fan he is a complete beast. When Dallas picked him up I was really excited because I knew what kind of player he was. Almost every game he was in double coverage and still could not be stoped. Even fans were constantly chanting "Throw it to Dez." Every one knew it was coming, even the defenses he faced and still they could not stop him. Infact, he was really our only reciever on the team that could really do anything. He was unstopable against jump balls and was an awesome returner. I remember the spring practice right before his junior year he had to sit out of practice because he got hurt in the Oregon game and he was pleading his case to practice with the team. A couple of times he would try to sneak out there on a couple of drills and plays just to practice or he would even be on the sidelines acting as if he was playing and running the routes. When game time comes around every time Dez is the first person out of the gate and is always pumped up and always gets the fans pumped up. Any person from Oklahoma State can relate to what I am saying. When playing he has a Michael Irvin type attitude. I can tell you that I feel that Dallas got a huge steal in him. He will be a top reciever in the league one day.

I can tell you one time I walked by the practice fields and Dez and a couple of players were staying after practice to get some extra work in, well anyways Dez was on the jug machine and catching balls by himself and some of the lineman came up and was asking Dez "How come you don't catch balls with one hand then the lineman came up and said "see I can catch the ball with one hand" well I did not hear the rest of it because I was heading home but I was thinking in my mind "man he does not need to catch things with one hand." Well that next week vs Colorado he catches the ball with one hand and runs it in for a touchdown. The man is special. Thats just my input from an Oklahoma State fan so you can take it or leave it but I thought I could share my thoughts with everyone.

Thanks for the insight, I hope you're right about Dez.

Just a side note though, you should probably not misspell Michael Irvin's name. It kind of hurts the credibility of your comparison. I get what you mean, but there's some people on here who get really upset over Emmit, Whitten, Brookings, etc.

.

Thats really completely false. What Randy said was, there was a rumor or talk that, the OK State coaches said those things. He said he talked to coaches at OK STate ( he didn't say who he talked to) and verified that was completely false.

I am not saying TRO or who ever posted that, is lying. But I have frequently read on this site, completely opposite or very different take of what I hear on Radio, and I dont think its intentional at all. So always take it with a grain of salt, when someone posts about what they heard someone say on Radio. Now there are some posters who always post accurately on what they hear etc. So it really depends on who posted it.

On Side note, today on Ticket, I heard his interview with the Musers. Boy, he sounded either drunk or maybe he just woke up, but either way, came off as really, for the lack of better word, dumb or not intelligent or maybe not very articulate ( that maybe the better word for it).

The constant word on him seems to be he might not be very mature guy, but definetly seems to be a good guy and not a bad character guy at tall. Work ethic also doesn't seem to be a question at all.

And you know Michael Irvin is going to be mentoring this guy which I absolutely love.

If he develops that relentless attitude that Mike had he will be special.

Crazy thing is. Miles Austin has the potential to be extremely special too.

Miles is actually bigger / faster than Dez.

And the X Factor is Roy Williams. If the light bulb ever pops on (not holding my breath) than things will get insane.

He's not very articulate(or uncomfortable talking on camera/radio), needs public speaking help.

Not sure you addressing my post, but if that is true, which kind of explains it . He does seem very uncomfortable with media or tv etc. and probably reason he barely communicates his thoughts well. Not everyone has gift of gab like Michael Irvin :D We have Emmit as a proof of that ;)

Thanks for the insight.

As for the double teams, I noticed in the highlight film in his sophomore year that OU doubled him on the 2 point conversion and the QB still threw it to him and Dez went up and took it. Great play!!

Oh I deffinatly agree that Dez needs to work on his public speaking but that can be improved.

The OP sure trumps coaches and scouts...because hey (!) this OK State fan had an apartment near the practice field.

Miles > Dez

Miles does not possess the natural receiving skills that Dez has. That's a fact.

Doesn't mean he will be as good as Miles, but there's a reason Miles was a FA and Dez was in Mayock's top 5 ranking.

I watched and listened to a bunch of his interviews this past weekend and he just seems to be uncomfortable when dealing with the media. A couple times I could see him getting ahead of himself and mixing up his words, you can tell he's just very nervous by this whole thing and probably doesn't want to say the "wrong thing".

I wouldn't really worry about it. Tons of "yes sir" and "no sir" responses, seems like a good character guy.

Yet what you where hanging on was proven to be mis-information from the media

You have been owned all day and you still trying

Maybe if you actually correctly quoted what GAC said instead of more or less lying to suit your purposes then I would agree with you.

You can see from all of his highlights that he was lined up all over the field.

I really am not fond of using the word agenda especially around these parts but your agenda is pretty damn sad.

I am definitely not worried and after all the slander thats been done towards him by said media I can hardly blame him.

If you are the one posted saying Randy Galloway was told by coaches about Dez was being limited or needed constant help on field, then you are absolutely false. I just heard again today from Randy, that he asked the coaches about the rumors, and he was told it was false and that Dez never needed to stand besides the coaches or had difficulty with playbook or learning offense.

So either you heard it wrong or hearing it from second on source. I.e. about Randy Galloway being told by coaches about Dez inability to learn offense etc. First of all that would be absolute idoicy and recruiting suicide by OK st coaches. If the word gets out that coaches talk bad about players, no good player would go to OK State. So even if it was true, no one would ever tell Randy Galloway that, on record or off record.

Second, no way, no matter how talented a guy is, can put up that kind of numbers knowing just limited number plays in College football, at that high level ( maybe if he was Division II or III I might buy it).

Like I said, I'm willing to overlook that kind of thing, and judging by the responses you've gotten so far maybe the attitude about spelling names has softened some. I just thought you might want to edit it before people wrote off your argument for something as slight as spelling.

i will chime in on this, he isnt drunk from what i know of it, it goes back to his school days, and his teaching, he had to take special education classes to catch up in school. So, alittle of that bringing up, might have likely slowed his excellent speech and punctuation. If you listen to part of his interview, i think you will see what i am talking about. Just like a bunch of you love me on this board, i think we all want the best for dez and to be the super wr we all think he can be, just like micael irvin was a star impact wr for the dallas cowboys. Just like I have a voice problem, i dont know dez that well, only from my friends that know him here in lufkin and having seen him play as a lufkin panther football player. Again, he has a caring heart, he wants you to treat him that way and try to understand him, just like we all loved emmitt or randy white. Thats what to my mind he really wants and need, with fan support. So, lets move in that direction, the cowboys trust him or they wouldnt have drafted him. so lets forget stuff that someone may post negatively. Dez is a Dallas Cowboys player and we are die hard dallas cowboys fans, so lets go that direction.

Now at same time, he had to take algebra, and other tough classes in high school, so to me when you do that your not dumb or drunk.

I am not saying you said he was, just thought i would shed alittle light on some of his upbringing and what he had to go through in life to get where he is today in life. He has a ton of God given talent, he just needs to listen to the right people, study and learn and grow as a person. Just like most of you saw him fall to his knees and say a prayer and thanks to God, thats who he is as a player. Like i said, once your a dallas cowboys player i will root for you tooth and nail and fight for you if necessary. And like i said, we had to hit on that number one draft pick, and in fact i think we hit on the top 3 picks, Dez, Lee and Ansah.

And back to when I will fight for you as a dallas cowboys player, when or if you get into trouble with the law, I will forgive you, just like I gave T O a chance with the team when the cowboys signed him and pacman. But when you continually cause problems like T O did or get in trouble with the law like pacman, then i wont root for you and pull for you.

thats who i am a person.

so, lets just like the person that got the issue wrong about what randy galloway said, which obviously he got or heard it wrong, we all make mistakes or misunderstand things or hear them the wrong way. So, lets give dez a chance first, and see what happens. Dez is a dallas cowboys. and randy galloway wants whats best for the cowboys too.

So, lets just stick with rooting for the cowboys, till training camp, and just enjoy our draft picks and undrafted players and root for our team, our fans and our media so that we are all on the same page and as a team unified together.

The guy get's nervous when interviewed...I think this explains why he lied to the NCAA. It just seems to me that having a NCAA rep firing questions at young man...it could be a bit intimidating. Not out of the realm at all to imagine that happening.
