Seems to be escaping some folks tonight.

Alabama and LSU are the best in the land and should be playing again for the NC.

What were you saying about OSU being the little brother?

I'm not saying its right or it isn't, but if Ok State goes to the NC game I don't think Alabama has any argument to complain. Maybe they are the 2nd best team, maybe even the best, but the fact is they lost at home to the team who awaits already. They had their chance. And from a marketability standpoint, no way Ala-LSU can touch an OSU-LSU NC matchup even if LSU is going to be a heavy favorite. OSU has way more marketability than Ala, esp since Ala-LSU already played one of the worst, most boring, big games of the year. And we all know its about the money despite the facade the NCAA and BSC try to portray.
And also, "GUNDY'S A MAN!!" if you didnt know ha!

thats hypothetical, the facts are they had a month to get ready and got curb stomped by a team from utah when the game was in their back yard. They also almost got beat by garret gilbert, i dont think i have to tell you how pathetic that is.
Alabama had a month long let down to play in a bowl game they didn't want any part of and one they thought they could just show up to win. Utah's ultimate Super Bowl vs. Alabama's scrimmage. No different than Boise vs. OU and if one of those would have happened to the Horns we'd be saying the same thing. They almost got beat by Garrett? Really? Didn't they pretty much step on our throat when they needed to?

i think garrett stepped on our throat when they needed him to, but i digress. the fact still remain they had a month to prepare and got destroyed. They were playing in the sugar bowl, if their coaching staff cant get them up for that then they seriously dont deserve to play for the national title

Lsu has a terrible offense. Just dont punt to matthieu, kick it out of bounds. uga dropped two tds and should have been up 21-7. That would have made the offense run more in the 2nf and made it a completely different game. oh well , when you turn the ball over, drop passes, and give up big returns your gonna lose.
UGA simply blew it in the first half by not taking advantage of their opportunities. They dominated - and I mean dominated - the 1st half. LSU didn't get a single first down in 8 possessions! I think the stat CBS gave us said no SEC team has been held without a first down in a half since 2002. The yardage was something like 150 to 0. And yet despite all that domination, it only translated to a 10-7 halftime lead.

LSU is very lucky they didn't play a more talented opponent yesterday.

one team has 5 wins vs top 25 teams, the other has 2. one team has 2 wins vs top 10 teams, one has 0. One won their conference, the other one didnt. Its pretty clear to me OSU deserves to be in the championship game, regardless of what anyone thinks the best two teams are. If everyone was right about everything the rams would have beat the pats and the pats would have beat the giants in recent super bowls.
And the Packers wouldn't have even made the playoffs last year. :D

Everything you said above is 100% right on. I'm not holding out any real hope OSU gets the invite over Alabama but I hate the fact that a team can lose their conference and still go to the championship game. You're almost better off not even playing in your conference championship game since that's one less opportunity to lose.

I hope the voters do right by OSU and they get a crack at LSU. Bama has their shot and lost and what OSU did to OU last night in my book makes them very much entitled to have their chance

Oaklahoma St. played an amazing game, but as it stands, LSU should still play Alabama for the title. Alabama ddidn't do anything to lose it's #2 spot. This is exactly why college need a playoff. Let LSU play whoever ends up #4, Alabama and Oak St. play, and the winners go to the title game.

Bama had their shot they lost there is no reason the same 2 teams should play again. Move over Bama give OSU their crack at LSU.

Last night proved how much of a non coach Bob Stoops has become. OU probably has the most talent but they have no staff at all right now. They basically don't seem to prepare for any games anymore, so if a team prepares well for them like Tech did, Baylor, and OSU did. OU gets beat, because OU doesn't prepare for any games it seems. I don't know why OU keeps Stoops around he continually gets outcoached by inferior talent and bad coaches
