even if they do beat OSU, they are basically out of the title game, so that's good enough for me.

go state!

Stoops and the coaching staff failed. Make no mistake, THEY ARE TO BLAME!!! Injuries are a part of the game but if you are a BCS title contender then you have to beat a team like Texas Tech even withour your starter. We still have the best offensive line in the country. A decent backup like Hazle could have performed better if the playcalling enabled him to succeed. OU without Bradford still has more talent than Texas Tech. The problem was due to the playcalling on both sides.

DEFENSE:
In the first half, OU kept blitzing despite the fact they kept picking up the blitz. We were putting no pressure on their QB yet we kept devoting more men and that just left Tech's WR's open all day on those quick outs. You would think Venables would adjusted the scheme and called for more man coverage and gee...maybe even ask the corners to be physical with their receivers instead of letting them run all over the place with that weak zone. Venebles needs to go! He has failed multiple times in big games. Our defense has not been the same since Mike Stoops left. I mean how the hell do you dare using a zone blitz on a spread offense. MORONS

OFFENSE:

Several horrible calls. I agree with Dallas about that post corner route that Kevin Wilson kept calling. It was obvious after the first attempt that Hazle could not make that throw. I mean he wasn't even close to hitting that guy. It doesn't matter if our wideout was open on that play if the QB can't make that throw. And instead of adjusting and calling for more pass plays underneath or post patterns which the Hazle was comfortable making, they keep going to the corner route. Then the fake punt was a horrible call and it was even worse that the guys were not in communication on that play.

I know the rose-colored Sooner fans will just blame this loss on Bradford's loss but we just proved we are not a true BCS championship contending team. Stoops really failed and he is starting to become like Lloyd Carr in that he is living off his past greatness. Stoops has choked in several big games now and he can't keep getting a pass just because he beats Texas. Stoops for sure needs to axe Brent Venables and get a new DC.

I just wanted to say I can never understand your rants on OU football. I never have. Probably why I didn't even read this one before replying.

Every post regarding OU basically says you are an alum about 4x in the post and that Stoops just sucks and that all OU fans are backwoods idiots who don't know anything about football.

Excuse me while I filter out all the BS and call you out on it. ;)

Seriously...

Down goes OU, out of BCS Championship picture.

Key word being championship. They most likely will win out and get the Fiesta. Why? Oh yeah - we BEAT Texas this year, that's right.

Where is Texas going this year?

Holiday?

Alamo?

Cotton?

So many bowls...

I don't care what bowl Texas end up with, I don't follow Texas.

My team, USC, will need to beat ASU to meet OU in the Fiesta Bowl.

They needed to win and have 5 teams lose. Two have already including Oklahoma which I'm glad they did.

2 down...3 to go and I'm back in the National Championship Game.:p:

At least I have a chance...Oklahoma...none.:D

I hate Ohio St. but in all likelihood they will go. The only way Ohio St. doesn't get in is if Kansas goes undefeated. They won't let Missouri play for the BCS championship with one loss regardless of what the rankings are now. Also, LSU could still lose. The SEC championship game is a home game for Georgia.

EDITED

Okay, this is silly. Look Dallas, we got off the wrong foot and it's obvious we don't like each other. Nonetheless, I'm not really into this petty bickering. We are both OU fans. We should be supporting each other.

If you met me in real life, we would get along. I'm analytical by nature. I'm not trying to show up anyone. I realize that's how it comes accross on here and why you and others don't like me. I just enjoy discussing teams to the detail which includes negative material at times.

Likewise, I know you are not a dumb redneck and that you understand the situation facing OU. Let's just be real. We both love Stoops. We both know he is going to bring us another title. But we both know that he probably has to get a new defensive coordinator. And we also know he made some bad decisions yesterday(you acknowledged that yourself)

We are saying the same things so why do we have to try to be nasty to one another on here. We are both good people that mean well and want our teams to succeed. This is stupid man. We both know that.

i have to disagree with you on that one. If Missouri ends up with one loss its because they will have beaten an undefeated and second ranked Kansas team and then a top 12 team in Texas/Oklahoma

To be honest, I didn't think OU would still be ranked so high in the BCS. I thought the polls would want to punish us. But yeah, I agree with your assessment. They would get a shot if that occurred. I retract what I said earlier
