Lewis did not talk to reporters this week, and has said several times throughout the season that he won’t make that decision until after the season.

Defensive coordinator Brent Venables believes Lewis is leaning toward staying in college.

“He’s had a very good year. But I think Travis is not easily satisfied when he self-evaluates,” Venables said. “He knows there’s more for him to have. He wants to dominate the game and feels like he’s capable of doing that if he’s purposeful in what he does the next six to eight months.”

The advisory committee evaluates game tape provided by the players and then gives a ballpark figure where he will be drafted. Broyles said the committee asks for film from three games.

Players do not have to declare for the NFL draft to be evaluated. The projection from the committee is also far from a guarantee. It does not take into account the NFL combine, pro day and personal workouts that are a huge part of the draft process.

But if Broyles and Lewis elect to stay, it would mark the first time since 2008 the Sooners did not have at least one junior leave before his eligibility was up.
