Unless it is my team I usually cheer on the underdogs. I would like to see Kansas St win ( Sooners lose and maybe WVU goes up a little in the rankings) however I think the Sooners spank the cats.

GO WILDCATS!!!!!!!

Of course, I could be a homer. :D

Actually I think they are too one dimensional on offense and hope they can just keep it close.

The Big 12 is the by far most competitive conference in 2012. OU, WVU and Kansas St. followed by TCU, UT and Baylor and Oklahoma St.

Tech and Iowa ST. can beat you if you don't show up too...only Kansas is a doormat in football, otherwise it's bruising parity.

I'll say it again, Stoops isn't that great a coach. Not nearly as good as old man Snyder, that's for sure. What a marvel he is, winning at his age with the players he gets.

That might be game! Oklahoma just doesn't have it anymore...they are declining as a program. You hear these stories from recruits and players that it's just not a happy place to be

Already coach of the year favored.

What kind of stories? I don't keep up with this kind of stuff.

I think OU could be so much better. You almost have to recruit well there with the tradition and the proximity to Texas, so unless your coach is John Blake-bad, you're going to be pretty good. I'm not an OU fan but I hate to see them performing under their potential most years. Not sure why Stoops gets such a pass up there.

Looks like the Sooners are doing their not so fast Lee Corso impression.

ND just beat Michigan, which means they will probably vault into a top 5 ranking. :banghead:

Oh and looks like Clemson vs FSU is a barn burner right now.

Arizona vs Oregon is on ESPN and should be a good on...I have to cheer for any team facing Arizona, only because I still loath RichRod.

Upset all but complete.

National championship hopes dashed for OU.

Woot Woot Get it Get it

Congrats to you and your KSU Wildcats in their well deserved win.

Now switching over to the FSU-Clemson game and Arizona-Oregon game.

Jan 1, 2012 - Florida State commitment Mario Edwards, the nation's top defensive end out of Texas, apparently did not enjoy his recent visit to Oklahoma:
"Talking to some of the (current OU) players, no one had a lot of positive things to say about OU," Edwards said. "It was more, like, negative."
Additionally, Edwards said, he wasn't thrilled with the "vibe" of Norman.
"It was a real small town with really no social life there," he said. "After football season, you want to be somewhere you can socialize and all that stuff." - ESPiN Insider ($)
Oklahoma has had a lot of transfers lately, and apparently Edwards got mixed in with some of the malcontents.

It just seems like there is something wrong with the team culture/environment over there, similar to what plagues the Cowboys.

Agreed. I'm not a Sooner fan either, I'm a PAC12 guy.

I think a bigger problem than Stoops is their gimicky offense. If you're going to run an offense like their's you have to have a signal caller who can make quick, smart decisions. That's not Landry Jones.

Landry Jones is a walking accident.

Another problem I noticed tonight as well as in some other Sooner game is that their offensive style gases their own defense.

K. State would hold the ball 10 plays and 6 minutes, then when the Sooners got the ball back they'd have a quick 3 and out and less than a minutes run off the clock. So a tired defense has to go back out there.

I think Jones may regret not going to the NFL draft in April, he was a lock for the first round, now I don't know.

I remember there were a lot of Sooner fans who were upset he came back.

Regarding his draft stock, I was on the draftcountdown.com website yesterday just taking an early look at some positions of need for the Cowboys, and I noticed they still had Jones listed as a 1st round pick. WTH!

The 2013 QB class looks weak but I still wouldn't draft Jones any higher than the 4th round. Honestly I'd completely stay away from him. His problem is in his head. He's not a heady player.
