I thought he signed somewhere but google still comes up with him as available.

He played OG last year but was a long time LT.
He mostly played RT.

It looks like he’s only played four games at LT in 2019. The rest were at RT or guard.

Regardless, still a massive upgrade over what we have.

Our coaches and management made up their minds that we were gonna put all of our eggs in one basket per Matt Waleski (sp) and Josh Ball.

They never bulged about signing a vet swing guy.
Maybe it's too much of a money issue.., maybe it's too much of a one year rental,.. maybe they wanted their very own developed young backups for years to come.

This is kind of how I see it as well. waletzko is injured and a rookie that means by default ball is going to be the guy IMO.

Fisher would be my fist choice. Played well last year for a good stretch and has has the most recent playtime of the FA at LT.
Just 2 tears removed from a pro bowl season.

i would suspect that achilles tendon tear injury totally changes the dynamics of those past pro bowl credentials.

Reportedly Fisher gave up nine sacks in 15 games last year. i cannot imagine that being a good stretch.
That could be a big reason why he is still on the streets. Maybe there's some assumption that he cannot play anymore ?

They are going to play with what they have until week 2. No vested veterans contracts till then. No guarantees until then. Stephen has spoken.

Stephen = No worries. We are projected to have 3 comp picks in next year's draft. Free agents are overrated when you have all of that draft capital.

Jerry will still have his TV money and fans in the seats. What's not to love. He might just buy another yacht.

I mentioned him in the other thread. Anyone with a pulse and has played in this league needs to be brought in immediately. You have the third most money in FA left at 20 million.

Not gonna happen.....Jerry and Stephen will wait tell after the 1st game of the year so they dont have to guarantee the FA salary....Expect Tyler Smith to start against the Buc at LT and then maybe the Jones will bring in a bargain basement FA.

I would sign both Williams and Fischer, as we need a starting LT and a swing. I would also sign or trade for a veteran WR.
We have plenty of cap space and we should be able to get these guys on one-year deals, so we can still sign our young guys in the offseason.

I am so frustrated. Our defense is finally, possibly championship level, but the FO refuses to do easy, simple things that will make our offense competitive.

Honestly, if we go into the season with Ball as our LT, I will refuse to buy another Cowboy product until the Jones are no longer affiliated with the Cowboys. It's just ridiculous.

Jerry will hardly cry if you stop buying his junk. 8 billion and climbing.

I will be watching on TV. However, I may not attend another game in the stadium for a while. Shelling out $1,500 for 2 tickets to watch the 49ers put a whopping on us while 30%-40% of the stands were filled with 49ers fans put a bad taste in my mouth. Jerry want do it, but the only thing that can get this thing going the way it needs to go is bring in real football people and him and Stephen stick to marketing and making money.
