It is no secret our offence currently sucks, nor is it a secret that I blame that largely on Clapper, OC and Dak.

However with that disclaimer, I am stunned to be reading so many comments blasting our OL and Zeke when the stats don't suggest they are the issue at all. Stats may not be everything but they are sometimes pretty clear.

Is our OL as dominant as it was in 2016? Not even close.. but it is still giving the Dak the second longest average "clean pocket" time in the league.. thats right.. no fake news there.. Dak is still getting protection that most QB's can only dream of.. or as it more likely.. they don't need that long because they get the ball out quicker but I digress..

Second is that Zeke leads the league in rush yards and is top 10 for ypc. So this OL is still creating enough space, in a busted crap offence with absolutely ZERO passing game, for Zeke to run and run well if given the opportunity. A "crap" OL simple doesn't do that.

Onto Zeke.. yeah he made some major errors on Sunday. major. As in game changing, momentum killing errors but he was not the reason we lost. In fact his play was just about the only reason why we were even in the ball game. There was zero happening other than his runs all day. Plus he does all this against stacked boxes and defences that are 'keyed' in to him and him alone. They don't play QB spies.. they play RB spies, sometimes two of them and he still makes yards. That is class.. all RB will fumble.. and all QB's will throw picks.. if a RB is putting on the deck every game.. then concerns but 1 fumble per 12 games against NFL defence? That is pretty average if not far better.

The point being that I hope the FO doesn't make the mistake of chasing OL or worrying about distractions. Our problem is with coaching and QB.. nothing more and nothing less. Get the QB sorted and these WR will look better. Solve the coaching and everybody looks better.

FWIW, I would start the changes now. This season is done.

Wasn't that Cincy OL coach brought in to manage the OL, the injuries, the schemes, the ins and outs, having the whole unit ready from starters to backups?

I see same story as previous seasons
