Out of curiosity I was looking at what times OL put up outside the 40 at the combine and found some interesting things:

20 Yard Shuttle-
Travis Frederick 4.76
Jonathan Cooper 4.84
Menelik Watson 5.01
Larry Warford 5.10

3 Cone Drill-
Jonathan Cooper 7.78
Travis Frederick 7.81
Kyle Long 7.83
Menelik Watson 8.31

slowly but SURELy.:starspin ...those times mean MORE than the 40 IMO because they exhibit good feet and football quicks...40 time doesn't mean SPIT for a guard or center in the NFL: we heard that with Warmack and it's also true with Frederick...I'm starting to warm to him

40 time be damned. He's got quickness ala Cooper and is a mauler. I love it. 38 on the wonderlic. Our line just got one hell of a lot better.

We know his 40 is the least important thing, it is more of being unprepared to run it than anything.

A center should be more complete as a first round pick, people think he is Mangold or(Panthers)Kahlil, but he isn't. His feet are not as good he is a but stiff and top heavy and not as good getting to the second level, just doesn't add up to where he was drafted. He isn't horrible, he is limited and we will be as an Oline unit too.

I don't see how he's so limited. Maurkice Pouncey of the Steelers was drafted 18th overall and was a big part of their team that nearly won the super bowl in his rookie season. He was a pro-bowler and got 2 votes for ROY, but he isn't considerably more athletic than Frederick.
