Olatoye

 You seem concerned with being right and not about what's best for the team. Otolaye forces turnovers. Can Brown force one in a real game before he's the (favorite)?

Who cares what I think. Just saying what coaches and others who follow the team on dallascowboys.com are saying about Brown. Sheez, relax. I'm moving on. Peace.

I thought this player flashed a few times and had a nice pick.

6'1 205 pound corner and it looks like he played for us last year and had a pick. I don't remember him at all.

i do. he can play and he *should* play.

If Jenkins and Irving end up as good players its another coup for the scouting department. Jenkins was signed by Denver this year, who played him at DE and then cut him two weeks ago. That will be a great story if Jenkins turns into a player as a Cowboy.
Jenkins is simply built more for a 43 DE than Denver's 34 DE. It isn't surprising that he didn't make it in that scheme... even with Wade Phillips coaching it (who will play some undersized guys).

He is a much better fit for Marinelli's 43. Not sure why he even went to a 34 team in the first place.

Brown is a rookie and haven't played in a regular season game. He forces turnovers in practice and plays well in coverage. He is more talented....hence why he was drafted(I get drafted players bust and undrafted become ballers)

That being said he has to beat Brown out first. Will he...very possible but right now he hasn't

I have to replay the game. I swear on the 1st play where Jenkins flashed, Marinelli did a stunt and it was Jenkins then coming around to the right end from a 3 tech position, the beneficarry of the push in by the DE that freed Jenkins up. I think Marinelli sees him as a 3 tech, and if that is where he was coming from he sure was disruptive............but like I said--gotta replay the game this evening

You are just ignoring reality at this point.

Based on all indications from camp and the fact he started, Brown appears to be the front runner for the 4th CB spot.

You are right about that play. Jenkins was lined up as a DT.

We shouldnt be declaring spots based on camp practices. Weren't they just raving about Swaim and look how he performed last night. Olatoye is a gamer

He may be. But by all indications, he's the 5th CB at this point.

It doesn't matter if you guys think brown has earned anything or not

The facts are the facts...brown was done playing for the night at the absolute latest early in the third quarter...I stopped looking for him , so it's entirely possible he was done at HT..

That says A LOT about what the coaches think of him...olatoye was out there the entire third quarter

A lot of people will notice 29 for his INT and his pass breakup but the reality is he was excellent the entire game...very few balls came his way...and he was doing a solid job of shutting his man down

But you can get a ton out of what the coaches think based on who plays and when they play and it's easy to see that the staff prefers brown right now

I liked what I saw from Olatoye, but he did struggle a little with tackling. He seemed to jump Thomas as the #5 corner though. Will be interesting to see if Frazier can improve and take Wilcox's spot. Wilcox will still probably make the 53, but his weaknesses are well known at this point.

I think Marinelli sees him as a 3 tech ...maybe slash DE, able to give snaps at both positions. Kid can move which fits well in Rod's scheme.

Why on earth are you guys arguing Brown vs Olatoye? If you look at who's on the roster, there's a good chance they both make it.

But no, we want to argue who's #4 and who's #5? Come on.
