Man, this board is crazy right now.

Alot of us, including myself, were calling for Parcells to go. Now it looks like we are going back to the future if Spags latest article is legit. Considering how he is the "company man", you can usually take what he writes to the bank.

So looks like we are getting Norv, Campo, and maybe good ole Avezzono back in the fold.

Beast can live with Garrett and Norv, but Campo and any other throwbacks are not what I had in mind when I was advocating Tuna being shown the door.

I guess sometimes the cure is worst than the disease, hope I am wrong.

Beast is heading off to his cave now to get some sleep, I fully expect a Norv PC by Tuesday at the latest and maybe Campo by the weeks end.

Be carefull what you wish for............

Too late... we already wished for BP to be gone and he is.

We now must accept what is happening and hope for the best.

I wanted BP to be gone so I am not complaining about any of the moves JJ makes.

Do I wish it was someone other than Norv? Sure, but I dont feel I have the right to complain since I wanted Parcells outta here.

I think many people around here should be taking my approach.

It woud be much more calm anyway.

To be perfectly fair, this is what most of the people who wanted Parcells to stick around for for one more year were warning about. Darn straight be careful what you wish for. Should we get a guy like Rivera, it goes away somewhat.

yep, just because Parcells wasn't a smashing success, at least he was accomplishing something, building a team, getting us to the playoffs, I'm not exactly sure Norv is the coach who can keep it going, much less do what Parcells couldn't, advance us in the postseason, afterall, he doesn't have much experience winning anywhere

Yeah, and we're getting ready to find out. I was one of the more vocal Parcells critics from the get go and it doesn't look like that's going to change with the new "coach" either.

All these guys that wanted Parcells to go, I ask whom did you want?

Please don't say Cowher because that was not even close to feasible.

Ron Rivera, Rex Ryan, Russ Grimm, Les Miles, Norm Chow, Jim Bates- I'm sure I could come up with 496 more not named Norv or Wade if you'd like. :D

Wishing for BP's departure was not the problem. Hiring a retread like Norv Turner is.

Sadly that is a lesson that should have been learned before now.

People wanted Hambrick to be the starter instead of Emmit....nice results although emmitt was at the tail end of his career.

People said...anybody would be better than eckuban...so we got dat Dud...nice call.

People said...anybody would be better than QC or Hutch or Vinny or Henson or Bledsoe...look what we finally had to go through to get Romo.

Point is...the grass is not always greener on the other side. Sometime it pans out, other times it does not...with the cowboys since the last superbowl it seems to pan out against us.:(

95% of the people that wanted Bill to stay was not because we thought he was doing a great job...it was because we knew there would not be any great HCs out there to replace him and that Jerry would somehow find a way to screw things up.

That is the VERY reason why many was wanting bill to come back for at least one year.

I'm still holding out hope that no more interviews scheduled means Jerry is waiting till after the Super Bowl to seek permission to interview that guy

I have wished for BP to be gone for 2 seasons and I am glad he is gone. He was hired to take this team back to the Super Bowl! He was barely more than mediocre. So, why have him here? Why put up with the way he muzzles his assistants? Why have a coach that wants to be the end all and coach every position while not winning? Are we really sure his personnell decisions are so great? Jacob Rogers, Stephen Peterman, Julius Jones vs. Stephen Jackson, Fasano as a 2nd round pick, Marcus Spears, Marco Rivera, Vanerjagt, getting rid of Glover. I could go on and on.
Now, am I excited about the current possible replacements? Not really, though I am hoping it is Norv over Wade Phillips. You never know!!! We thought we knew when BP was hired. Guess we were wrong!!!

Honestly, I just wanted Parcells to hire a compotent Defensive Coordinator and give him the leeway and autonomy to install his own defensive schemes.

Maybe Norv Turner has something, I dont know, but I really would rather stick with Parcells, if I was given the option.

The only thing that is bothering me about this whole process is that Jerry seems to have limited the field. I dont think it would hurt anyone to wait a week to get the opportunity to widen the field with candidates that are not available at the moment, such as the members of the Colts and Bears Coaching Staff who are just as qualified to at least get a look-see.

so cowher, and then who else is a "lock" to be a FA coach that is supposed to make next year the holy grail of coaches?

lovie and fisher - if they get signed long term then the bonanza pool drops even more - and then what?

i hear this argument a lot but i don't get it - who else other than cowher will be available that makes waiting the right move?
