Over 30 guys that is. I count only 12. Not bad. 7 of those just hit the big 3-0. We are so much younger than a year ago. Imagine another draft class next year. That ought to bode well for the future with us so well stocked with young guns that have real talent. Here is the list I came up with........

Adams, Flozell 05/18/1975
Allen, Larry 11/27/1971
Bledsoe, Drew 02/14/1972
Cortez, Jose 05/27/1975
Ellis, Greg 08/14/1975
Ferguson, Jason 11/28/1974
Glenn, Aaron 07/16/1972
Glenn, Terry 07/23/1974
Glover, La'Roi 07/4/1974
Johnson, Keyshawn 07/22/1972
Nguyen, Dat 09/25/1975
Rivera, Marco 04/26/1972

The got a whole lot younger this offseason for sure.

Now the trick is having replacements ready to step into their shoes when they step aside.

Some of the replacements may already be on the team. ;)

Unfortunately, 11 of them are starters.

I think we've done a masterful job of blending older veterans with young, talented players.

In this way, we can be good while we develop for the future.

We absolutely have to find Flo and LA's eventual replacements, and soon.

Allen is going to be 34 by the end of the year and is not getting to the point where the cap hit by releasing him will not be extreme. He will need a good campaign this year to earn an invite back next year. Hopefully Peterman gets a chance to show us what he can this year. Noll is on the team but I have never been impressed with him. Actually, I've never been impressed with Peterman either.

Flo is really just entering his prime and I wouldn't be too worried about finding his replacement just yet. We do have him for 3 more years at a reasonable price. I would like some more depth and wouldn't be surprised if we spent a first day pick on an OL. Unfortunatlely, neither Petitti nor Tucker have the footwork for LT. Rogers did but he can't stay healthy and is no longer with us.
