Guys:

Does Micky S? work directly for the Cowboys? Just wondering how much you can trust his analysis?

Of course Cowboys. But its not like he is not critical of cowboys ever. Heck he questioned Wade's decision to not go for 4th and 1 rather than opting for questionable field Kicker, in the latest article.

But sometimes he can be defensive of cowboys to fault. Personally, I think he is usually on point, but I know lot of cowboys fans think he is a Jerry Jones personal media spokesperson.

Yeah, he's the mouthpiece of the organization. Kind of like many posters on here, usually just full of spin and sunshine pumping.

Any time you are working directly for an athletics official website, you are told to write "near propaganda-ish" and try to avoid negativity and criticism.

Yeah...he will occasionally criticize but for the most part he plays the company man role.

I think it is funny sometimes when he defends and defends a player or coach but as soon as that coach is let go or that player is let go he is sure to list a multitude of reasons why they should have been let go.

Now fans do that all the time but he is a journalist.

Sometimes he is even too polyanish for me and that is saying something as I am more of a glass half full kind of guy.

He works for the organization. He is capable of being critical in small doses, but he is always defensive about the Cowboys and about the suggestion of change.

he was insanely critical of Quincy Carter (which is the period of time when I last sought to read a Mickey article)

He also is a big time hater of Marion Barber. He really has it out for him.

I like reading Mickey, he strikes a nice balance with the negativity coming from the local Dallas media.

yea, maybe he tows the company line, but so many "journalists" out there just tow the hate driven crap line and i get tired of that even more.
