ok guys there is an old addage that speed kills, which as i know you all pretty well belive.

I went to (dont know anywhere else where they might list pro teams listing of speed in 40 with their sizes and 40 times. Here is what I saw after looking at www.couchscout.com If someone knows another site that lists pro teams, speed would appreciate it.

Here is what I gathered, we did improve the team speed wise, but not really where you think;

______________________________________________________________

DALL Right Corner HGT WGT Speed RATING
42 HENRY Anthony . 6- 0.0 198 4.52 532.77

BROWN Courtney , 6- 1.4 200 4.38 369.78
BUTLER Quincy . 6- 0.5 190 4.55 345.08
___Ok, if courtney brown works out, then we got a steal, at 6-1 1/2 200 with 4.38 in 40 is outstanding. ___________________________________________________________

DALL Left Corner HGT WGT Speed RATING
41 NEWMAN Terrence 5-10.4 188 4.27 707.40
0 THOMAS Joey --- 6- 0.7 188 4.44 429.16
33 JONES Nate . 5- 9.8 187 4.56 407.81
BALL Alan 6- 1.0 183 4.52 359.79
_joey Thomas is still playing for the team, we do need a experienced cb. _____________________________________________________________

DALL Free Safety HGT WGT Speed RATING

98 ELLIS Greg 6- 5.0 272 4.96 257.63
_____Here, we get a good outside linebacker in the 3-4 with almost as good speed as ware. _________________________________________________________

DALL Strong Middle Backer HGT WGT Speed RATING
HARRINGTON Ded 6- 3.1 248 4.72 366.05

i dont know about this kid, but we need someone on special teams starting out with speed since fowler is gone.

DALL Weak Middle Backer HGT WGT Speed RATING
51 AYODELE Akin 6- 2.1 251 4.72 566.08
CARPENTER Bobby 6- 3.0 252 4.62 486.79

______________

DALL Right Guard HGT WGT Speed RATING
75 DAVIS Leonard 6- 6.0 363 5.17 660.30
BERGER Joe 6- 5.4 303 5.20 392.55
62 RIVERA Marco 6- 3.0 295 5.19 217.10
_______Here we got bigger on offensive line with speed with guys like Leonard Davis, Doug Free with about 5.09 in 40 and big huge Marten with 5.09 in 40, that should help our offensive line problems with big huge guys that have speed too. _______________________________________________________

_____________

DALL Right Tackle HGT WGT Speed RATING
69 MOLINARO Jim 6- 5.7 308 5.03 437.18
FREE Doug 6- 6.2 318 5.22 390.28

DALL Left Tackle HGT WGT Speed RATING

MARTEN James 6- 7.3 303 5.08 400.57
McQUISTAN Pat 6- 6.2 314 5.10 379.46
______________________________________________________________

STANBACK Isaiah 6- 3.0 195 4.55 354.30
Stanback maybe our sleeper WR, suppose to run after foot heals, from 4.37 to 4.4.
DALL Running Back HGT WGT Speed RATING
21 JONES Julius 5- 9.6 217 4.49 505.49
24 BARBER Marion III 5-11.3 212 4.53 502.03
COLEMAN Alonzo 5-11.0 208 4.49 375.15
____Coleman is just as fast as Jones, __________________________________________________________

DALL Fullback HGT WGT Speed RATING
39 POLITE Lousaka 5-11.5 246 4.66 434.88
HOYTE Oliver 6- 2.5 247 4.88 420.79
BATTLE Jackie 6- 2.0 235 4.47 369.39
ANDERSON Deon 5-10.0 240 4.72 345.29
__I think Polite is gone, with battle, anderson, figthing for a running back spot, with most likely Tyson Thomspon traded for a future draft pick. ____________________________________________________________

so, what i am seeing we got bigger on offensive lines, and linebackers possibly with talented players, like Free, McQuistan, Marten, Spencer, and at running back-fullback with Battle, Coleman, and Julius Jones is suppose to be faster, and stronger too, so I do think Tyson Thompson might be traded. And If Stanback and CB Brown work out, then we got a steal with a young WR in Stanback and cb brown. So, all in all , this maybe just as good a draft as Parcells drafted, and dont forget we get Browns # 1 pick next year, hope it is good enough to get McFadden, maybe sign Julius Jones to a one year deal and trade him for a future # 1 if he does well this year.

Dont get me wrong, if Jones does good, and you have a chance to get a super running back like McFadden, im all for it, teams that mostly have gone to superbowls and won them numerous times had a great super running back, guys like Emmitt Smith, Franco Harris, Tony Dorsett, (Hershel Walker whom we traded for future picks) not sure howto spell his name Zsonka with Dolphins, thats how u build super bowl teams, you have a great running super back.

I do think Jones is going to do well this year, since Parcells had him running as a robot in some situations. Running backs have to run on instinct.

You find a team that will give us anything more than a 7th and I'd be shocked.

That site didn't list Tony Romo or Marc Columbo and a few others who are on the team:
http://www.couchscout.com/dall.htm

Also, their rating system seems to be completely subjective.

Interesting info on players' vital statistics but I question the accuracy of it.

Speed and athletic ability kills, thats why we got Stanback. Your numbers on him are WAAAAY off.

Yeah, these speed ratings are totally worthless, they are completely subjective. There are several players that are bigger and faster than someone else at their position and have lower speed ratings. Stanley is listed on that site as almost exactly the same height/weight as Ferguson and is faster by .19 seconds, yet he is 220 points lower. They don't have Romo or Columbo on there at all and they have Brad Johnson rated like 100 points higher than Stanback. Why don't we switch Johnson to WR if this is the case.

JustSayNo, why are my numbers way off, it has been reported that Stanback runs about a 4.55 in 40 now due to his foot injury, but before he got hurt, he ran 4.37 to 4.4, and in 100 meters, he ran a 10.48, while some other guy, i think it was tedd ginn jr, ran a 10.50, and i think it was the punt returner the bears, that came from miami, he ran a 10.45 or so, so stanback is fast, if his foot is healing.
