I always wonder how that goes over for a guy coming into the NFL.

If they're huge fans of a specific team and they're drafted by one of their team's rivals.. That would suck!

If the Giant's, Skins or Eagles gave me a shot and the Cowboys didn't, I'd be a closet fan and make the most of my shot. Too much money for my family to be bothered by what team selected me or gave me a roster spot.

Yeah, I'd be the same way. I can tolerate being on a second-rate organization for a few years with that type of money coming in haha

And when he was interviewed before the Pitt game, it seemed like he was ulta-motivated to beat them.

I just wonder if part of him was torn at all. Because us beating them would decrease the chances of his favorite team making the playoffs.

I bet they probably have a completely different way of thinking about it, as players. But I can't help but think that there is still a big part of him that's a "fan" also.

When the Steelers passed on him in the 2nd round he walked outside depressed about it. He wanted to be a Steeler. Then the call came from the Cowboys.
 
Wasn't there some type of hubbub after Dallas drafted Dak about Dak tweeting something negative about Romo in 2012.

Dak was a huge Cowboys fan growing up so not the same scenario as Cruz
 
What happened to Cruz? He was the best in the NFL not long ago. Beckham plus Cruz this year was supposed to be unstoppable.
 
He biggest was when Peyton manning was playing saints in the Super Bowl. That wasn't his dads team and his team all his life. And Katrina happened and hurt those people, it's almost like he didn't have the heart to crush the hopes of his hometown at the very end.

You do realize Dak called out Romo in 2012, right? And said he's done with him and Dallas needs to find someone else. This stuff happens all the time.

Teams don't care who these players root for before they get there. Romo was a GB/Favre his whole life.

I'm well aware. But I guess that you weren't aware that I was talking about a completely different issue than the one you brought up.
