How in hell did Ole Miss reach #4 ranking? What in hell is wrong with the BCS? I didn't even know they were in the top 25 and all the sudden I see them ranked #4.

TCU had more right to be ranked #4 than they did and I don't think TCU should be ranked that high. (I'm a TCU fan first, then Longhorns)

On that note, why is everyone making a big deal about TCU playing Clemson. Obviously they have to win this game, but people are making out like it's two ranked opponents.

Rankings SHOULD NOT come out until like 5 weeks in at least. They should just have a build up to the rankings coming out. Ranking before the season starts is soooooo dumb.

Wonder why everyone wants to know what the Cowboys are ranked before the first game of the season. ;)

Personally, rankings are pretty much usless in my book. It's all about preception anyhow. I still like to know what the perception is among people, but it has no barring on who is actually better than who. If you want to find that out, make them play each other.

...which is why the BCS is a load of crap.

I don't think rankings will ever go away since there are way too many teams to have them play each other. I just wish they'd wait so the rankings are more of an educated "guess". But the BCS is a load of crap. They should do like nascar....have a season ranking, then the top 6 or whatever go on to play for the title...aka...PLAYOFFS! So the goal is just to be in the top 6 at the end of the season. But there has to be a way to make sure the top 6 (or 8 or 12) is the legit top teams.

And so much for Jevon Snead's Heisman hopes...

Heisman contenders are being eliminated right and left, Jahvid Best had a stinker today too... and now, Tebow's hurt (I hope he's OK, head injuries are scary things)... if this season keeps on this way, I may end up winning it... LOL...
