OLINE built for Pass Attack?

I know this is only the 2nd pre-season game, but it seems like this line is built for the passing attack. Every now and then, someone gets in to blow up a play, but for the most part, this OLINE has been keeping the QB's clean.

What are the chances Parcells goes to more of a passing attack? Didn't he do that in New England? Or maybe we've not been challenged by a real D-Line?

I wouldn't say that...I think this oline is trying to fit more of a scheme. Not a road grader type of run blocking, but more pulling and traps etc...

Requires more mobile olineman. I think we need to figure out who the starters are for sure then let them jel...that takes time.

I agree. I don't think we will see as much man on man blocking as we saw in the past with the OL.

It just seems like last year, they couldn't hold blocks for more than a couple of seconds, and like yesterday, Bledsoe had so much time to throw, several times, that it was scary.

Passing to set up the run... I could buy into that... but like anything else... everything in moderation(balance) OR whatever is working for you at the time...

If BP is gonna design this offense to work with ITS strengths.... ie. Drew is an excellent passer and Glenn and TO and Witten are excellent playmakers...

so I could buy into this OLINE being setup for passing.... then pound them with the run(JJuJo + MB3= 1-2 punch) when they dont know what we are doing....

Parcells Did it with Bledsoe in New England so I can certainly see him going to a heavy pass oriented offense.

It's not often I agree with you... but I'm starting to lean towards believing that this will be a pass-heavy offense.

It does seem to work much better when we use the pass to set up the run.

This team has top talent (and alot of age, unfortunately) at TE, WR, LOT, and QB. Sounds like a pass-first team to me.

If the O line does not do a better job of run blocking then we will be a pass happy team. We might look more like the BIrds then we thought.

That could be possible, however I do think that Bill will use balance to throw the defense off. Like everyone posting I agree use the pass to setup the run.

I don't care if we run to set up the pass or vice versa. As long as we put at least 20 points on the board each week we will win.

BP will always prefer to play smash-mouth football before a wide-open passing attack.

This is why we are going more to the 2-TE attack. Not only to have more receivers on the field, but more blocking at the point of attack for the running game.

Despite what we are seeing with the success of the passing game against mostly early pre-season scrubs..

Dallas is not about to tip what the offense is really going to do once September starts.

And that is going to be run the ball first with lots of plattooning along the OL to keep them fresh and also at the RB position to keep them fresh.

MBIII and Thompson are going to get a big load this year along with JuJo. Count on that for the first part of the season as so many games are going to be away games in the opponents stadium in hostile surroundings.

Ball control, TOP, field goal kicking and clock management are going to win these games for us with stout defense.

Not wide-open passing where dropped balls, incompletions and fumbles are going to lose games left and right.

And what is going to set the table for all of that will be the passing game being able to move the ball easily and well when needed.

you'll see.

The BP mantra.

Our OLine starters better be the best pass protectors. Unless we have an awesome line that can do both, I'd start the pass blockers because no matter how important a running game is, this team is only going as far as Bledsoe and his receivers can take it...I would sacrifice a little on the run game to make sure I have time to get the ball to T.O., Glenn, Witten, etc.

Ah.......I doubt it....just wait until the other defenses put in their gameplan
