He's a beast. I can't imagine a reason they'd really let him walk, though. Why would they?
Mainly cause they signed Mario

If the trade with the Eagles is dead he probably ends up staying now.
Cost. Even at the transition tag, Miami was looking at $13 million a year. And now they've just signed Mario Williams for around $9-$10 million per year. I figure something's gotta give.
And, given that Jacksonville, the team with the most cap space in the league is reportedly hot after him, I think that should eliminate the Cowboys from any conversation.
Maybe because they suddenly aren't taking on Maxwell's contract...............
Yeah, but how often do you see a team sign an old guy for $8m per and then turn around and let a 26 year old edge rusher walk over $13m? The last time I can remember anything like that happening was Jared Allen when KC let him go to MIN. That involved serious compensation, and it was still a huge mistake.
Today. They pulled the transition tag. That now allows Miami to get a sweet compensatory pick for him next year.
That's just colossally stupid.
I'd be all over this guy, for the record.
He's a very good player, but the cost is gonna be sky high.
We can't compete with the dollars the Jags and Ginats will be offering.
We're shopping in the Adrian Clayborn / Chris Long bargain bin.
Don't smudge the glass!
If giants sign this guy.....you wanna talk about a push for getting another ring.. Once again it seems we are counting on romo to carry this team..ni wonder his back is messed up
